Beautiful location tucked away in the mountains just outside Los Angeles. The owners are very accommodating and Richard, the ranch manager, is an absolute joy to work with. He is extremely helpful and available to your needs during production. This location was used by multiple productions at once so I recommend double checking that either you have the space to yourself, or that productions do not overlap.

About California

When you are dealing with California City, you are looking at a much smaller and more tucked away community. This is located in Antelope Valley and is one of those small towns that you may have never heard of. This city is located 100 miles from Los Angeles, and its personality couldn’t be much different if it tried. With a population of just 14,000, you are looking at a true small town.

The reality is that California City has the third-largest landmass of any California city. It just so happens to be a remote location that is not very populated. Much of the population of this city comes from Edwards Airforce Base, which is located nearby. It’s a simple town with basic amenities and municipalities, and it’s a nice escape from some of the other sometimes chaotic parts of the state.

Film Shoot Location Options in California

When you decide to search out a film shoot location in California, you want to consider everything. There are likely to be fabulous spots to choose from, and then it’s about finding the right local partners. • Video Services
You may wish to work with a local video services company as they can offer you great support. You want to work with a company that can offer you customized services to help you the most.

  • Talent
There will be a good likelihood that you are going to need to have some strong local talent to feature in your film. Working with a good local talent agency can take a lot of time and work out of the equation. Then you can focus on the other things and let them handle this part of the work.

  • Lighting
Every good film shoot needs lighting, and this simply can’t be ignored. If you work with a bigger company then they can offer you additional services too. Either way though, a partner that specializes in lighting can be instrumental to your success.
