Beautiful oasis perfect for photo shoots & video shoots. Alex is so accommodating, the space is so very clean, and so peaceful when the crew has their lunch in the backyard. The parking is rather convenient. It's across a busy street, which might not be the best for a massive Hollywood shoot, but amazing for a smaller team.

About California

California City is found in the Antelope Valley in its namesake state of California. Only 100 miles from Los Angeles, this metropolitan center has a very small population of just over 14,000 people in total. The third biggest city by size in the state of California, California City covers a total ground space of 203.63 square miles.

Though having only limited amenities to its credit, California is the proud home base operations for Central Park, a small municipal airport, and a golf course featured on the PGA Tour. Found in the Mojave Desert, California City was intended to be expanded and developed to become on par with the entertainment capital of the western United States: Las Vegas.

Over time, the property was to increase in size to encompass over 130,000 acres of ground which would be divided into seven unique districts. Unfortunately, misfortune befell the chief financial backer of this project, and all development plans were abandoned. The land was then placed up for sale, and the vision for this project was permanently stalled.

This picturesque high desert locale is the perfect backdrop for any California video shoot location. If you’re looking for the ideal spot in which to do some filming, California City is one urban center that will not disappoint!
