The view from this rooftop was absolutely immaculate! Not only was the spacious but it also had several different features that made it perfect for our shoot. The power outlet really saved the day as most rooftops that I've been to don't have any. Danny and his team were super helpful and made sure that I had everything that I needed for my shoot. 10/10!

I came back to finish a film shoot here. Great place and owners! The owners are considerate and care that you have a pleasant shoot. However, I should caution if there is a "special offer" that the host sends, because it may be a tad bit more than the original price.

Great location! The owner was friendly and responsive. We shot on a weekend night and there was a rock band playing next to us, but other than that, it was awesome! Just note there may be other time slots available and if you move the start time earlier, the finished time will change as well. They will also charge 1.5 plus hourly rate of 60 for overtime.

About Empty Warehouse spaces

Empty warehouses provide an expansive and versatile backdrop for a variety of events. These spaces are often characterized by their vastness and open floor plans, allowing for flexibility in designing different types of setups that can accommodate a range of activities. High ceilings and ample space make them great venues for both corporate functions, as well as private celebrations. With the industrial aesthetic they offer, these unique spaces bring an air of sophistication to any occasion.

Empty warehouses are truly versatile settings that provide endless possibilities for anyone looking to host a unique event at an interesting location. Guests can expect to be surrounded by a modern atmosphere featuring distressed brick walls paired with metal accents for some rustic charm. While many warehouses come equipped with basic items like tables and chairs, there is also plenty of room for personalizing the venue according to each host’s vision or theme.

The industrial feel provides creative possibilities when it comes to decorating the venue, exposed brick walls and steel beams enhance the aesthetics with the right kind of lighting or props. It is even possible to play up its natural rustic charm with modern accents like oversized floral arrangements or distinctive furniture pieces. Additionally, with their industrial vibe, these spaces are the perfect backdrop for capturing beautiful memories in photos or videos that can be shared long after the event has ended.

The Best Events for Empty Warehouse Spaces

  • Corporate Trade Show
Empty warehouses are great venues for trade shows or product displays, especially when businesses need to showcase their services to potential customers. This kind of function allows entrepreneurs to show off new products, services, or technologies in an interactive setting. With plenty of space available for vendor booths, product demonstrations, and networking opportunities.
  • Music Festival
An empty warehouse can easily be transformed into an impressive performance venue with a little creativity. For music festivals or concerts, this kind of space offers plenty of flexibility in terms of layout while still accommodating large crowds. From lighting and sound equipment rental to stage design and decoration options.
  • Art Exhibition
With its spacious yet intimate atmosphere, an empty warehouse provides the perfect backdrop for exhibiting art pieces from various genres, including painting, sculpture, photography, and more. Additionally, exhibitions like these offer the opportunity for artists to showcase their work and engage with visitors directly, something that’s not always easy to do at traditional art galleries or museums due to limited space.
  • Parties & Celebrations
Large parties and celebrations such as wedding receptions or corporate gatherings can be held in empty warehouses too! The enormous area provides ample room for seating arrangements and decorations so that party planners can get creative with their setup. Moreover, sufficient lighting and sound systems can also be installed if needed.

What to Look for in Empty Warehouse Spaces

  • Size and Layout
Assess whether the square footage the empty warehouse offers is sufficient for your needs, from both a capacity standpoint as well as from an activity perspective, that is will there be enough room for dancing or other activities? Also, take into account its layout in order to ensure optimal traffic flow throughout the space without overcrowding any specific areas.
  • Safety
An empty warehouse presents a certain degree of safety risk due to its lack of maintenance and upkeep. Before choosing a particular space, survey the area for any unsafe conditions such as sharp objects or hazardous materials that could put attendees at risk during the event. Check if there are adequate exits in case of an emergency evacuation and whether fire sprinklers or alarms are installed in case of a fire outbreak.
  • Acoustics
The sound echoes without proper acoustic insulation, making it difficult for people to communicate clearly during events held in warehouses. To ensure everyone is able to hear what’s being said without having to raise their voices too much, add acoustic panels or sound baffles on walls and ceilings which will help absorb sound reflections and reverberations at different frequencies.
  • Lighting
Natural light is scarce in most warehouses due to limited windows, so it’s important to bring in proper lighting systems such as spotlights and dynamic lights that enhances decorations, while still providing enough illumination for guests throughout the duration of your event. Ambient lighting can also add character and ambiance, look out for installations that allow you to control brightness levels from warm yellow tones all the way up to bright whites!

How to Make Empty Warehouse Events Better

  • Incorporate Different Zones
An empty warehouse presents the flexibility to break it down into smaller zones so there is more structure and organization. For example setting up multiple seating areas for conversations or lounging, a dance floor with speakers playing music, food stations so your guests don’t need to wait too long in line for food, bars for drinks, etc. These distinct sections ensure that every guest has something worthwhile contributing to their experience.

  • Add Lighting Elements
Lighting is essential when it comes to transforming an empty warehouse into a successful event venue. Try to create a combination of ambient lighting and spotlights that will illuminate the space without being too harsh on attendees’ eyes. Incorporate portable lighting rigs so you can have more control over how each area of the warehouse is lit. This helps create an atmosphere that’s both inviting and memorable.

  • Transform with Decorations
Bring life and personality into an empty warehouse by decorating it with items like curtains, plants, furniture pieces, rugs, and other accessories that can spruce up the aesthetic appeal of the venue. Use materials that are lightweight and easy to move around so you can quickly transform the space for different activities.

  • Use Technology
Integrating technology can bring your empty warehouse to life and provide attendees with interactive experiences. For example, use projectors or TVs to relay relevant videos, slideshows, or presentations. Set up gaming systems for attendees or live streaming services if you’d like to broadcast your event online for remote guests.

  • Schedule Entertainment
Have something fun and engaging for your guests to do or enjoy during the event. Hire entertainers like DJs or bands who can perform live music or set up karaoke machines which is a great way to keep guests entertained throughout the night. Include interactive games such as pool or foosball or even have a photo booth set up where guests could take photos as souvenirs.
