About the Space

Our sanctuary is our largest space in the building. Livestream and digital soundboard equipped, this space is perfect for large events, recordings, or meetings. Be advised that our sanctuary is not available for use on Sundays. Seating Capacity: 325 in the main pews + 120 in the balcony (not handicap accessible) HVAC: Evaporative coolers and steam heat available. A/V: Digital mixer and microphones, wired and wireless, available upon request. Projector and screen available upon request. Our sanctuary is now fully livestream capable, with five pan-tilt-zoom cameras and full audio recording capability available to use for private events on request. This service does require a First Baptist staff member to run and coordinate, and is available for an additional fee. Bibles and cross can be hidden and/or removed upon request. The cross at the front of the sanctuary is the only explicitly religious symbol in the sanctuary. This space boasts Corinthian columns, large windows, a historic feel, a massive 6,000+ pipe organ (please inquire about use), and excellent acoustics all the way to the top of the balcony. Additionally, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King preached at our pulpit on April 16, 1962.
