MID-CENTURY MIAMI TROPICAL OASIS Welcome to our 1960s mid-century home, a 2,800 sq ft house on a sprawling 34,000 sq ft tropical oasis in North Miami. Our property features three large bedrooms and three bathrooms, each brimming with the character of the era. In addition, there is a converted large garage that features a studio guestroom and a separate workshop/laundry room. HOUSE Our home is spacious and airy, flooded with natural light and features an open-plan living and dining area measuring 25x26 feet, with15-foot telescopic glass doors that lead to a terrazzo-floored lanai. While some areas are a work in progress, the interior is freshly painted and offers a unique canvas for those looking to capture a more authentic and lived-in Miami vibe. TROPICAL SANCTUARY Surrounding the house is a veritable jungle, with a giant mango tree, fragrant ylang ylang, sprawling live oaks, and an array of orchids and palms. Wildlife thrives here, especially around our striking pink shaving brush tree, a favorite among local birds. The lanai faces a 15x30 foot pool adorned with snake grass, Cuban oregano, ornamental pineapples, and dramatic black oolite rocks, creating a picturesque setting. There are teak lounges and a BBQ area with a Big Green Egg. UNIQUE FEATURES Adding to the property's character is a vintage 30-foot Airstream from the 1970s, permanently anchored by the canal, undergoing a transformation to regain its former glory. A cumaru deck and private dock offer serene views of the tranquil Spur canal, enhancing the property's seclusion and tranquility. VERSATILE USE Having hosted numerous photoshoots, our home is no stranger to the spotlight. Its natural light and ample indoor and outdoor spaces make it ideal for a range of productions. Parking is convenient, with a driveway accommodating over four vehicles and additional street parking. A second interior gate can open to accommodate larger vehicles and easily transport equipment. ACCESSIBILITY Our single-story house is designed for effortless accessibility. Street-level entryways and broad doors facilitate easy load-in and load-out, accommodating equipment and crew movement efficiently. TECHNICAL AMENITIES The entire property is equipped with WiFi, ensuring connectivity even in the vintage Airstream. For evening productions, we have Ring path lighting and motion-activated lights. Inside, dimmer-equipped ceiling lights allow for adaptable ambiance contro. FURNISHING AND PROPS We offer a variety of on-site furniture that can be utilized, providing convenience and reducing the need for additional prop rentals. CREW ACCOMMODATIONS With ample space, our home comfortably accommodates hair and makeup stations. An attached guest studio offers privacy for talent holding. The lanai serves as an ideal spot for crew breaks and meal setups, ensuring your team can recharge in comfort. We recently had the pleasure of shooting at this hidden gem of a location. You could easily drive past it without realizing what’s beyond the gates. The property is expansive, about an acre with giant oaks, elegant palmetto fans and flowering trees. It feels like a nature reserve and the ambiance is quintessentially old Florida. The light here is magical and there is a huge variety of environments, both interior and exterior, to work with. It's really a dream location. The hosts are great - extremely flexible and accommodating. They were very responsive and professional and overall great to work with.
