The location had a lot of creative flare and was diverse for its overall size. The upstairs had professional recording equipment and a podcast booth while downstairs had a number of compact backdrops to choose from based on your needs or taste. Definitely worth a look!

About Austin

As the capital of Texas, Austin is a city with a big heart and a big personality to go with it. The locals, known as Austinites, are supposedly amongst some of the friendliest people in the country. Known as the live music capital of the world, Austinites know how to have a good time and as such has a high Millennial population that’s driving the creative and tech heart of the city forward.

Memorial Space Options in Austin

On what is a very somber occasion, it’s important to get the tone and vibe of the day right. Here are some things to consider as you organize an Austin memorial space.

  • Flowers
Flowers and floral arrangements are traditionally a big part of any kind of memorial service. Whether you want to go down the traditional route, or want to have more of a celebratory atmosphere to your memorial, it’s something to think about and a professional consultation may help.

  • Transport
Depending on if you have a church service or crematorium visit beforehand, it might be worth considering transportation to your memorial venue for your guests. It’s something less for people to think about on what can be a very difficult day.

  • Catering
When we’re in a place of remembrance or mourning, wanting to cook or make anything is going to be the last thing on our minds. However, everyone still needs to eat and drink so make sure you have something on hand.

Pros and Cons of Austin

Even though Austin is a great city to visit and live in, there are pros and cons to consider when trying to book a space in any city.

Advantages

  • Lovely weather
Being in the great state of Texas, days full of glorious sunshine is a given. Any memorial service held outside should have sun on its side.

  • Vendor options
From amazing food to design experts, professional planners in Austin are ready to step in and help make the memorial special.

  • Outdoors
After the stress of the memorial, take some respite in one of Autin’s many parks and green spaces.

  • Jobs
With the low rates of tax in Texas, many huge businesses like Google and Tesla are heading to Austin to set up shop. This means that there’s a huge job boost currently going on in the city and surrounding area.

Disadvantages

  • Expensive
Unfortunately with so many great amenities and things to do, the cost of living in Austin is notoriously high. While a memorial here is a good idea, be prepared with a financial plan to help keep costs down.

  • Heat
Although having sunshine blazing every single day is a lovely thought, the summer heat in Austin is no joke. It can be very overwhelming if you’re flying into the area and you’re not used to it.

  • Traffic
The majority of locals choose to drive everywhere in Austin. Like the rest of Texas, the price of gas is pretty cheap so it makes it the ideal option for getting from Aa to B, however, this results in a lot of traffic.

  • Public transport
Another reason a lot of Austinites drive is that the public transport system in the city is pretty awful. According to locals, it’s faster to sit in the traffic than to sit on the bus or train and go all the way around the network.
