THE SPACE When you step inside, you can feel the vibes: the Sahara Lounge’s historic 1962 building is a one-of-a-kind Texas juke joint. Just fifteen minutes from downtown, the Sahara offers a stage, full bar, sprung wooden dance floor, backyard patio and abundant free parking—all in a relaxed atmosphere steeped with unique character. You just don’t see places like this anymore. In addition to being one of Austin’s favorite live music venues, the Sahara Lounge is available to host film/video/photo shoots, rehearsals, and recording sessions.
