It was a great place for my daughters baby shower. It accommodated 50 + guests and was affordable. The tables and chairs were a great addition. The owner was very helpful. Street parking worked out well for my guest. I would use this space again for future parties.

The space was nice! The chairs and tables that were included were such a bonus. It was advertised to us that we were allowed 1 hour entry before our baby shower started which allowed us to decorate and set up. Unfortunately, we were only granted 30 minutes to setup and decorate. The venue had a representative who ran late and didn’t get there until 30 mins later to open the doors. This + a pregnant wife and a few of our family members anxiously waiting to get inside to prep before our guests showed up made for a hectic start to our party. Other than that everything went smoothly and our guests had a great time!

I had my daughter's Prom send off here, nice size for small gatherings. Very clean and nice looking, in the beautiful area of Bronzeville. The owner Kevin and Ms. Elaine were so wonderful and accommodating and flexible. I will definitely book with Kevin again. The pricing was very affordable. Thank you Kevin.

Nice size place for a party. Chairs, tables, microwave, fridge, toilet paper, garbage bags was all included. Everything was clean.! Guess was just upset that the music couldn’t go louder but understand about it being to loud for the neighbors. Will definitely have a party there again. Was very cheap compared to other places. Oh and they give you an hour before to decorate and a hour after to clean up so it doesn’t take up your time you are scheduled for.

About Chicago

Chicago is the country’s third-largest city and the most populous in the state, with nearly three million people. It started as a small trading post and grew exponentially over the decades. But before transforming into a global city, it underwent several tragedies, including the Great Chicago Fire of 1871 that destroyed one-third of the city, leaving over 100,000 people homeless.

Sure, Chicago is best known for its culinary indulgences, historic architecture, innovative museums, and breathtaking skyline. But it’s called The City in a Garden for a good reason. It is home to hundreds of playgrounds, parks, tennis courts, and fields for football, soccer, lacrosse, and twenty-six miles of open lakefront. Its public gardens and nature reserves are also second to none.

With so much natural beauty and environmental features that bring peace and tranquility, it’s easy to pick a memorial space in Chicago. You can set it up in a garden, a conservatory, or rent a private venue to remember and celebrate.

Pros and Cons of Memorial Spaces in Chicago

While many people would love to hold a memorial in Chicago, renting a space in a big city isn’t for everyone. It has its advantages and downsides you must consider before making a choice.

  • Reliable public transportation
Chicago has one of the best public transportation systems in the country. The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) can get you anywhere, no matter where you rent or build a memorial space.

  • Accessible locations
Of course, you’ll want a Chicago memorial space that’s easy to get to and accessible for everyone. The good news is, many venues for a memorial in the city can be easily accessed either by transit or car.

  • Outdoor spaces
The city’s sandy beaches, sprawling parks, and gardens make an ideal outdoor memorial location. Spending a day or a few hours in one of Chicago’s gorgeous attractions can give you comfort.

  • Traffic
Although Chicago is known for its excellent public transportation service, extreme traffic remains a big issue. You’ll have to organize your activities, ensuring you’re out of the road during rush hours.

  • Crime rates
Unfortunately, Chicago struggles with safety as cases of gang-related shootings continue to rise. Crime is also a top concern for merchants and stores in the city.

  • Costly accommodation
If you’re visiting for a memorial service or have family and friends from other cities, make sure you save enough for accommodation. Rent and the overall cost of living here can be expensive.
