About the Space
***You make a difference -- Booking this luxury sailing yacht supports a local nonprofit doing important work*** Welcome aboard Lindy, a stunning vessel without equal on the West Coast. Lindy is a classic sailing ship with ample decks, a list of amenities, and tons of usable interior and exterior space for your charter, event, or shoot. She is a wooden vessel with classic lines and pristine brightwork, plus ample space for a variety of uses. With her gaff-rig and old world charm she's a luxurious backdrop to an afternoon on the water and a gorgeous contrast to sandy beaches or any modern skyline in Southern California. Originally a WWII minesweeper, her reinvention as a luxury sailing vessel makes her one of the most beautiful and storied boats in the Pacific. Your guests will not be disappointed and neither will their social feeds. Inside Lindy boasts 5 private staterooms (9 total beds), 3 bathrooms, a deckhouse salon trimmed in teak and brass with a large table for 8, a galley, a wheelhouse with a large steering wheel and classic brass ship's compass, a workshop, walk-inside chain locker, and spotless walk-around engine room. Sun streams through massive bronze portholes to enliven a rich wood interior. On her massive decks she has two varnished masts supporting classic rigging and beautiful linen-colored sails, a separate sun deck on top of the deckhouse, an aft poop deck, and miles of photogenic lines, blocks, and classic fixtures. Comfort is key, which sets Lindy apart from most vessels available for a day on the water. She has ample 110 power, high speed satellite internet, a hydraulic crane for dockside loading/unloading, full galley, large fridge & freezer, pizza oven, interior radiant heat, endless hot water showers, two dinghies, kayak, paddle board, and plenty of storage space. Lindy offers a huge variety of lounging areas and photo options and angles. She's an incredibly stable heavy-displacement platform, meaning she's comfortable away from dock. She's also a great hotel boat for offshore or at-anchor events and location shoots. We'll set you up with a USCG-licensed captain for your booking and Lindy exceeds USCG requirements for safety and navigation equipment. Events and shoots can take place in the marina, in coastal waters, or at the local islands and can last anywhere from a couple hours to several days -- we can help with custom plans and pricing for your needs. Among other destinations, Lindy is available to travel to Catalina or the Channel Islands for an exotic backdrop and doubles as a logistics and hotel boat for prolonged shoots. She can also travel to any port in Southern California or beyond (her range is nearly unlimited, she's been as far as Attu in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska and has crossed the Atlantic). You'll be supported throughout your event or shoot by a generous site manager whose job is to make your booking a complete success. As a perk, Lindy's owners have pledged all proceeds to support a local 501(c)3 nonprofit with a great mission.
