Every space at The Jupiter offers an opportunity to creatively curate the Portland experience meant for you. Rich outdoor lushness to a modern industrial ballroom, a secret garden and an urban oasis - our spaces transform to be uniquely your own. Middle Eastern Restaurant in Oregon
Our specialties include fire-grilled meats and in the Iraqi tradition, along with many exciting vegan and vegetarian dishes like our Mahshi Stuffed Onions (layers of onion stuffed with basmati rice, infused with flavors of sundried tomato and pomegranate), our Beet Salad (a beautiful, naturally fuscia-colored salad of beets, yogurt, and fresh lemon), and our Pickled Mango Salad. We are proud to offer wonderful Middle Eastern beer and wine imports as well! We create Iraqi foods with a rare fusion of authentic and contemporary, keeping traditional methods, along with current dietary needs at the forefront of everything we do. Our patrons enjoy an incredible flavor experience, while staying true to a variety of nutritional preferences. We have one of the largest and loveliest street-front patios in all of the Alberta Arts district. Our patio walls are covered in hand-painted murals by Pablo Garcia, depicting vibrant images of Old Baghdad. It is our mission to give people a dining experience that goes beyond great food, providing a cultural experience that expresses the unique beauty of the people, landscapes, architecture, music, dance, and rich history of Iraq. As a multicultural Iraqi-American family, it is our greatest desire to see peace and reconciliation in our world. Here at DarSalam, we hope to contribute to that in our kitchen and dining room every day.
