Our bakery boasts a lovely, open concept storefront with plenty of natural lighting from wall-to-wall windows. With room for seating and mingling for up to 45 guests in the store front alone, this bakery venue works well for small to large film crews. We have played host to ABC's Blackish, Netflix's Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Food Network's Hollywood Cakes, and more. With minimalistic, clean cut, and neutral toned decor, the space is incredibly versatile and can easily be transformed to fit the mood and theme of your choosing. Furniture can be moved and decor may be placed to your liking. Tucked a step away from the main store front area is a cozy office outfitted in tones of white, pink, and gold with beautiful concrete floors. The office includes a desk, shelving unit, and eclectic and fun mismatched seating. The rear two-thirds of the building plays home to a full, commercial kitchen that includes baking equipment such as ovens, a walk-in refrigerator, stainless steel prep tables and shelving, mixers, cooling racks, an industrial sink, supply room, and more. We are located on the brink of a residential neighborhood and are neighbors to a winery and guitar shop, not with medium to low foot traffic. There is street parking in front of the bakery as well as dedicated spots in a hidden parking lot behind the bakery, making load in and load out a breeze. We also have a petite storage room and hallway which can be accessed directly from the parking lot. Crews most often use this space to store personal belongings and to set up catering. There will always be a manager onsite to watch over the production process. Prices listed are our typical base fees and fluctuate depending on length and invasiveness of production. Prices currently listed are reflective of crews of 2-5 that are non-invasive, film out of normal business hours, and/or only use a very small portion of the space for the duration of the shoot. Productions with large crews or that result in us closing doors to customers are priced in a higher price range not listed.

About Burbank

Burbank is an incorporated city of approximately 107,000 in the San Fernando Valley, 12 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles. The history of Burbank follows that of cities and regions in Southern California. Conflicts between Spain and Mexico for control and land grants with ranchers and farmers being the benefactors.

The entertainment industry came to Burbank in the 1920s when the industry outgrew Hollywood. Although Hollywood remains the symbol of the industry, most of the production work takes place in Burbank. Disney, Warner Brothers, and Nickelodeon Studios are in Burbank. In the early days of filming, the studios owned movie ranches where sets were built to replicate faraway cities and scenes not native to California.

The entertainment industry followed the established manufacturing trades. Lockheed was the city’s largest employer when movie and television production entered the local economy. Entertainment is now the major economic driver. The presence of manufacturing remains, but on a different scale. The changes within a plant with cleaner and more efficient uses of space are a better fit within the Burbank environment.

The venues offered for a bridal shower in Burbank reflect the characteristics of present-day Southern California and the remnants of the movie ranches of yesterday. You should have no trouble at all in finding the perfect Burbank bridal shower location.

Bridal Shower Location Options in Burbank

The locations offered by host owners for a bridal shower range from residential homes with mountain views and eclectic commercial spaces to the remaining lands of iconic movie ranches. The motif of a Burbank bridal shower can be hosted in a location of high-class, high-end services, or alternative locations to reflect the personality of the bride-to-be.

  • Party Planner
An experienced and professional planner understands their role as the facilitator and manager of the client’s vision. The planning of a bridal shower will need attention to detail for the shower’s theme to match that of the location. Although a planner is retained to handle the details, most clients do not want to feel a disconnect from the process. The planning of a bridal shower is the most personal of events.

  • Catering
Catering a bridal shower is an important family celebration. A caterer specializing in food service for these events knows that the service style needs to be professional but fitting to the theme of the shower. The shower attendees want to enjoy the shower without the intrusiveness of the food service. The host needs to enjoy the event as much as the bride-to-be, and this will not happen if the caterer does not have the needed versatility in the serving style.

  • Permitting
Generally, a bridal shower in Burbank hosted on private property will not need a permit. However, if any aspect of the shower will encroach upon a city-owned right-of-way, sidewalk, or open space, then a special event encroachment permit is required. The plans for street closures, deliveries, catering, set-up, and breakdown must be prepared and included in the application package. If alcohol will be served in these areas, then a detailed layout of the area, seating, and furniture must also be a part of the package.

Bridal Shower Company Options in Burbank

The choices of local companies based in Burbank providing ancillary services are plentiful. Given the entertainment industry as a major economic driver of the local economy, it stands to reason that there would be local vendors supporting the event industry. A Burbank bridal shower is an event, regardless of size or budget.

  • 3 Little Birds Event Planning
This Burbank-based event planning company is led by a husband-and-wife team. In addition to planning services, 3 Little Birds has an arm in the equipment and décor rental service. The event service packages can be tailored as to how involved the host wants to be in the details.

  • Chef Evi
This Culver City-based catering company has the versatility to serve intimate dinner parties and corporate events. The menu options are for the health conscious and those with dietary restrictions. The options of kosher, gluten-free, and vegan can be incorporated into the menu selections for meals, sides, hors d’uoevres, and desserts. If a food truck fits within the shower motif, Chef Evi can also accommodate this style of service. Chef Evi has an exclusive vendor relationship with a rental company for the client to take advantage of competitive pricing.

  • The Enchanted Florist
The Enchanted Florist located in the heart of Burbank has been serving the east area of the valley for over 25 years. All arrangements are custom to the event. The floral decorations can be either fresh, silk, or any combination for curbside pick-up or delivery. The Enchanted Florist is ranked as the top in Burbank and was named the premier florist for the Rose Bowl Parade in 2022.

Pros and Cons of Bridal Showers in Burbank

This list of items is by no means complete and is not meant to limit any further considerations. The host is the one weighing the items to arrive at a final decision. It is the hope that the explanation of the items below will alleviate any concerns and, perhaps, make the decision a little easier to have a bridal shower in Burbank.

  • Climate
Burbank is located in the southeast region of the San Fernando Valley at lower elevations and away from the Pacific Ocean. The summers are hotter and dryer, and the winters are mild and warmer than in cities to the west.

  • Lifestyle
The wages and salaries of the industries supporting Burbank’s economy come with a high expectation of service and style. The hosts of bridal showers can and will pay for the high-end services.

  • Neighborhoods
A city with an economic base of entertainment and manufacturing, and with a high concentration of high-rent office space would not be expected to have zoning regulations to allow horses in neighborhoods. This proves the diversity of Burbank’s image.

  • Crime stigma
Even though ranked within the top 20 of the safest cities in America, Burbank continues to carry the stigma of high crime rates. Just keep your eyes open and stay out of unknown areas.

Burbank is in an area of seismic activity. There are eight major fault lines within 13 miles of the civic center. Seismic activity is monitored 24/7 as there is no season or a prevalent time for earthquakes.

  • High cost of living
From the 273 cities in the US ranked for the cost of living, Burbank is ranked 12th. The cost of living is 47% higher that the US average, with housing costs coming in at 130%. As of this writing, Burbank’s living costs are on par with those of Los Angeles.
