So many great things about shooting here. First, it's a beautiful yoga space with large windows for natural light. Outside the studio is a large room that can be used for hair/makeup/wardrobe/prep and there are several individual bathrooms in the hallway. There is a co-working office space on the same floor if you need different locations in one day. Parking is a ground floor garage making it easy to keep your production entirely on site, which in turn makes it easier to get permits from the City of Beverly Hills. The owner of the space is lovely and responsive and made our entire day easy and smooth. Would definitely recommend / will shoot here again.

The PERFECT downtown office vibe. We were looking for a location for a short film set in the office of a high-powered CEO. Something that reads Wall Street just outside the windows. The corner office was perfect for this, with great views of downtown LA. Also at this location were cubicles that would be a great office location in their own right, but we were able to use them as makeup, sound, DIT, and craft service “stations” throughout the day, which was fantastic! Also on this floor are several empty offices which we utilized for actor’s changing rooms, green rooms, and equipment staging--but again, great office locations in their own right. Perhaps best of all for our shoot, there was no noise from any other parties—we had the entire floor to ourselves! Also, we were able to use existing office furniture as set dressing, which was a huge benefit, and cut our art department budget in half. As for parking, there is an alleyway right around the corner that we used for loading and unloading, with room for 2 trucks and a car at one time. Adjacent to the building is a parking garage, perfect for smaller vehicles. And two blocks away is a surface lot that we parked our trucks in (look for Paragon Parking). Communication with the location was great—Zeeshan responded to every inquiry quickly, and was ready with an answer to any question I could think up. The only caveat which I must mention is that the elevator is just barely too small for standard size camera and grip carts, but as we were a fairly small shoot, this didn't really slow us down. I expect to be coming back here for any shoots that involve a downtown, high-end office location.

Pros and Cons of Office Events in Houston

Event and film/photo shoots in office spaces can be challenging, as there are advantages and disadvantages. Below are the pros and cons of organizing events and film/photo shoots in office spaces in Houston:

Advantages

  • Events and photo shoots in office spaces provide a professional context for guests, helping them feel the importance of the occasion.

  • Office spaces offer access to various amenities such as high-tech equipment, furniture, and catering options that can help create a successful event or film/photo shoot experience.

  • Utilizing existing office space infrastructure eliminates the need for costly rentals or additional investments when using alternative venues.

  • Office space locations tend to be easily accessible from major highways and downtown areas in Houston, making them convenient for attendees with limited travel time or parking concerns.

Disadvantages

  • Office space locations may not provide the best acoustics for live music performances or speeches, which could make it difficult to hear during an event or photo shoot.

  • Organizers must consider the office space's layout when planning an event or film/photo shoot - this can present challenges if furniture needs to be moved around quickly or reconfigured multiple times throughout an event or shoot.

  • There may be limited privacy restrictions due to shared common areas between offices, which can make it difficult to set up exclusive zones that require extra security measures like sign-in requirements for guest entry into certain areas of the space.

  • In some cases, fire codes restrict how many people can occupy a specific area at any given time during an event or film/photo shoot within an office space location - making it more difficult to plan larger-scale events without renting additional venues nearby that meet capacity requirements.

Tips on How to Organize Office Events in Houston

To help ensure the success of your event or film/photo shoot in an office space in Houston, here are five tips to keep in mind when planning:

  • Research Potential Locations: Before settling on a particular office space, research all potential locations for availability, cost, and amenities. Look for adequate lighting, ample storage space, and parking access. Additionally, ensure the office has available equipment such as chairs, tables, and other items needed for your event or film/photo shoot.

  • Prepare Necessary Permissions & Paperwork: Before confirming any events or photo shoots at an office space in Houston, ensure you receive the necessary permissions from building owners or managers if required. This will also include paperwork such as rental agreements and contracts that should be filled out correctly to avoid any legal issues later.

  • Set Up Equipment & Decorations Ahead Of Time: Once you have secured a location and obtained permits or contracts if required, it is important to set up your equipment and decorations ahead of time. This may include setting up tables and chairs for events or bringing in lights and backdrops for photo shoots. Preparing before the day of the event will save valuable time so that everything can run smoothly once things get started.

  • Make Sure You Have All Supplies Needed On Site: When organizing either an event or film/photo shoot at an office space in Houston, make sure you bring all supplies needed on site with you, such as food and drinks for guests attending the event or props required for a photo shoot session. Having all necessary supplies with you beforehand will prevent any last-minute issues from arising during setup, which could affect the overall success of your event or film/photo shoot session later on.

  • Clean Up Afterward: Once your event or photo shoot is finished, clean up afterward so that the office space remains neat for future use by other facility patrons. This includes disposing of any waste properly and returning rented furniture to its original spot before leaving the premises, which should always be done before leaving behind any trash left behind during cleanup efforts after events or photoshoots are complete.
