Claudia is very thorough and sets expectations / communicates well between production and location owner. The location owner was on site for our shoot but was really kind and cooperative, and even helpful in some cases when we were rushing to clean up and put things back in their original spot. The space is very small, I would say comfortably fits around 10 with equipment and even then it feels tight. But the look of the space is that true cubicle, old-school feel and there's a lot of great areas to shoot even though the space is small. Lots of natural light from windows as well.

Dynamic space with several pockets for an office setting, tons of natural light that comes through the windows. We were able to set crafty and extra crew on the balcony outside. Beautiful view of Manhattan from the windows. Claudia is thorough and sets expectations, and was super communicative. The owner of this space was lovely to deal with, we ran into a hiccup with crew capacity for the cubicle space next door (great option if you need more of a cubicle setting but can get pricey for small productions to use both spaces) and he was kind to let us use his balcony last minute for a holding area last minute.

Amazing space, was the perfect cubicle office that we were looking for. Had all the office supplies we needed to make the production look real. Great host who was reliable and communicative throughout the entire booking process. Space was relatively small if you have lots of equipment and crew but we made it work. Would recommend this space for shooting all types of productions!

The space is exactly like the photos! The little outside area where your crew could have a nice lunch is gorgeous and an amazing view of the water. One of the owners will sit in the entire time - it was like she wasn't even there, wasn't a hassle or issue but just note. Even with the heat of the lights was a very comfortable temperature for models and crew. Shoot went great no complaints.

The space is great for the older 90s office vibe. Smaller crew is preferred here. Claudia the site manager was great to work with and good with communication. The office is on the smaller side, but fit my needs for a photo shoot. Wouldn't do a large photo/film production here. Talk about parking beforehand, to prevent confusion. For my shoot I had to wind up doing meter parking.

Pros and Cons of Office Spaces in Queens

Renting an office in Queens to host an event is a great way to take advantage of the New York metropolitan area without a high price tag. However, some key points should be considered before making any commitments. Here are some pros and cons of renting an office in Queens for hosting an occasion:

Advantages

  • Many offices in Queens are accessible by public transportation, providing easy access for those with limited mobility.

  • With so many businesses based in Queens, the cost of leasing space is often lower compared to other boroughs in NYC.

  • The neighborhoods surrounding these venues provide participants with ample shopping, dining, and entertainment options.

  • By keeping overhead costs lower than renting traditional locations, organizers can save money on their event expenses while still providing a quality experience for their attendees.

Disadvantages

  • Parking near the office can be difficult due to traffic congestion during peak hours, which can cause delays for participants.

  • Depending on the size of the space and the number of people attending the affair, seating capacity could be limited, making it challenging to accommodate everyone comfortably.

  • The hustle and bustle of the surrounding neighborhood may prove distracting for participants trying to focus on the presentation or discussion inside the office space.

  • Lack of high-profile events in Queens so far could limit networking opportunities with particular sectors or industries that prefer Manhattan venues.

Tips on How to Organize Office Spaces in Queens

Hosting an event in an office space is more complex than it may seem. Careful planning and preparation are necessary to ensure the event runs smoothly and successfully. Here are tips to help you get your event off the ground so guests can be comfortable and enjoy themselves.

  • Find the Perfect Location: There should be plenty of parking and access from public transport, and the office should have a professional look and atmosphere that reflects well on you or your organization. Additionally, ensure that an audio-visual setup is suitable for presentations or shows if needed.
  • Set Up Stations: If your event requires participants to break out into smaller groups or work on individual projects, consider setting up stations throughout the room where they can work comfortably without disturbing others.
  • Consider Ambiance: The ambiance of any room has a tremendous impact on its overall feel and atmosphere. You may want to add decorations that reflect the purpose of the event (i.e., themed banners) and high-quality music played at appropriate levels to get attendees in the right mood—without overwhelming them with noise too early on.
