Absolutely spectacular space, in spotless condition, with multiple looks and perspectives. Zoe was a pleasure to work with, and super accommodating. If we have need for a home location in SoCal again, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend (and book) this location again.

We hosted a surprise birthday party for my husband here. It's a beautiful, well-designed space. The owners are lovely, helpful people. We had about 17 people and the space was more than enough. Lots of different seating and eating opportunities. We didn't use the fireplace or pool, but they are available for use. There is plenty of parking for everyone on the street above. I would highly recommend.

What a stunning location with tons of natural light! We booked this location for a business photoshoot for website content and it exceeded our expectations.  We were looking for natural, white, with a touch of greenery from plants and this location was perfect!  The hosts were very accommodating and ensured we had everything we needed for a successful photoshoot.  I highly recommend this property and we would definitely book it again.

Famous Locations in Encinitas

  • The Surfing Madonna
The Surfing Madonna is a highly-regarded and beloved 10x10 foot mosaic of the Virgin de Guadaloupe proudly posed atop a surfboard. It was created by an artist who illegally installed it under a train track on a busy street in Encinitas, California, in 2011, sparking controversy among those who found it to be either respectful or sacrilegious of Mexican heritage. In response to its initial removal, the community rallied to the artist's defense and formed the Surfing Madonna Oceans Project, raising thousands of dollars annually for ocean conservation and humanitarian programs through popular 5K/10K beach runs and brick paver projects. Today, The Surfing Madonna stands proudly at the corner of Encinitas Boulevard and Highway 101 next to Leucadia Pizzeria as a symbol of reverence for Mexican heritage and ocean conservation efforts.

  • The Cardiff Kook
Located next to San Elijo State Beach in Cardiff is a bronze statue called the Cardiff Kook. The statue depicts a six-foot-tall surfer riding a wave. It was unofficially named by local surfers due to its peculiar pose and has become a beloved part of the community. It has been dressed up for every kind of event or holiday, from Shark Week to Breast Cancer Awareness Month. People love to take pictures with the Kook and show off their creative costumes. The Cardiff Kook is one of the most iconic monuments in the area, symbolizing the fun and vibrant culture of surfing that locals have come to cherish. Make sure you take some time to visit this amazing landmark and celebrate all the unique things that make Cardiff special.

  • The Boat Houses
The Boat Houses, commonly known as the SS Encinitas and SS Moonlight, are truly unique structures. These two houses were built in the 1920s using salvaged wood shaped like boats. They have a total of 19 portholes which makes them look mysterious. Although neither of them has ever been to sea, they are considered early examples of California courtyard architecture. Visitors often ride their bikes along this stretch of 3rd Street to get a closer look at these historic homes. The decorative elements of the buildings hint at a time gone by, making them much more than just two old boats sandwiched between beach shacks.
