What an amazing property! We did a commercial photoshoot here and the estate just has everything - big open grassy areas, pool, tennis court, garage workshop, full gym, patios, porches, wooded areas. The host was communicative and easy to coordinate with, as well as super friendly and accommodating. We appreciated them letting us move freely about the grounds as needed. Ample parking available. Definitely will be booking again!

About Encinitas

Encinitas is known as one of the best surf towns in the world because of the miles of sandy beaches and the perfect waves that crash into them. The city has six miles of coastline along the Pacific Ocean within its borders and has been a popular surf city since the mid-1900s when Highway 101 became popular.

Encinitas is only 25 miles north of San Diego and 95 miles south of Los Angeles, making it easy to access. The name Encinitas means “small oaks” and this city of about 60,000 maintains a smaller city feel along with its surf-city culture. There are also museums, festivals, and other events of interest that make it a welcoming place for residents and visitors alike.

Production Space Options in Encinitas

Production space options in Encinitas are popular because of the salt air, beach time during time off, and the relaxed vibe of the city. Non-surfers also enjoy the city for its culture and arts scene, the restaurants, and the laid-back attitude that surfers bring.

  • Catering
Surfing immediately brings snack shacks and barbecue to mind, but catering options in Encinitas offer so much more than that. All types of cuisine are available from the outstanding professionals in the city, and they offer custom packages for those that need them.

  • Furniture and Equipment Rentals
It’s hard to replicate the look and feel of Encinitas, so why try doing it on your own? You can trust the furniture and equipment rental companies in the city to outfit your production space with the exact vibe you’re looking for or bring in the extra equipment you don’t want to transport all the way here.

  • Transportation
It’s hard to enjoy the miles of coastline if you’re focused on the road and traffic. Private transportation options will let you enjoy the ride and the scenery of the Pacific Coast Highway. There are also public transportation options in the city and access via nearby San Diego.

The production space companies in Encinitas offer the best services with the highest level of professionalism, after all, they never know which project will be producing the next smash hit like Surfin’ USA.

Break away from standard catering menus and order something different, something memorable, and something delicious with Surf Brothers. They began with a single store in Encinitas and now have a restaurant chain that’s won awards for their meals and catering.

Pros and Cons of Production Space in Encinitas

There are pros and cons of production space in Encinitas beyond the Beach Boys jokes that you may or may not hear. Catch a wave and review the list before booking your space.

  • Going green
The city of Encinitas is dedicated to going green and is always looking for ways to cut its carbon footprint and make the city more sustainable. You can be sure that the businesses you work with and the production space you use will be doing everything they can to improve the environment.

  • Cool summer
Encinitas has a continual “cool summer” vibe because it’s a surf city. Add in that it has great weather too, and you can just enjoy your time here in a relaxed fashion without the pressure and hustle you find in other cities.

  • Small footprint
Encinitas isn’t a huge city and it’s pretty easy to be wherever you want within the city in 15 minutes. It’s also a walkable city and although that will take you a little longer than 15 minutes, depending on where you’re trying to go, you can also be confident that you’re safe on the streets.

  • Cookie-Cutter
Encinitas has planned communities, and that forward-thinking is a good thing, but sometimes it can also make everything (in this case the houses in a community) look like they came out of a cookie-cutter. Of course, you’re not moving here, but it can make exploring the neighborhoods during your hours off a little boring.

  • Disappearing beach
If you walk down the stairs towards the beach at high tide, you can basically step right into the ocean. The beach disappears at high tide for a variety of reasons. Climate change, rising ocean waters, and erosion are just a few.

  • Bluff failures
Standing on a bluff and looking out at the ocean brings a sense of peace and relaxation. But in Encinitas, you need to be at least 10 to 15 feet away from the edge of the bluff because they do have bluff failures where it crashes down into the beach and ocean below. There are signs where the danger is highest.

Famous Locations in Encinitas

  • Historic Highway 101
Take a drive on this iconic stretch of road and enjoy unspoiled views of Encinitas and the coastline. Historic Highway 101, also known as the Pacific Coast Highway travels alongside the Pacific Ocean, hugging the coastline for 790 miles from the Oregon border down to San Diego. Six of these miles are in Encinitas and showcase the city’s coastline at its best.

  • Swami’s Beach
You’ve probably heard the song, Surfin’ USA by the Beach Boys. And love them or hate them, it’s hard to deny that it’s a good song. Swami’s Beach in Encinitas was the inspiration behind this song. If you’re not a surfer yourself, enjoy the view in the park on the bluff and watch the others as they go Surfin’ USA.

  • San Elijo Lagoon Nature Center
The San Elijo Lagoon Nature Center is a shallow-water estuary covering 979-acres. It’s also a favorite destination for bird watchers since 40% of the migratory birds in North America pass through here at some point.
