Great setting for a 1920's period scene. The place is small but works great.

Good location, Delza and her crew were very helpful.

Delza was always accessible, quick to reply, very helpful and friendly, even (regrettably) during her vacation and / or late at night. The hotel staff was very accommodating, more so than I wanted to ask, but sometimes filming does not go as planned and they did whatever they could to help us out. Unfortunately, I could not be on set much, so that left the Director as the one in charge whom hotel staff approached with questions. Recommendations for future users: 1. Ensure that the scenes you need to film can be finished before midnight. 2. Have an administrative person on set, not just to interact with hotel staff, but for a host of duties. 3. If you have more than 2-4 vehicles, pay for the extra parking across the street (ask Delza) because FilmLA does not allow street parking in that area.

The motel was perfect for our shoot! The host David was extremely accommodating and the rooms worked out perfectly. The layout made if very easy to get in and out with loading gear right through the parking lot. Would definetely recommend =)

Michael was very accomodating and the elevator worked out perfect for our scene. There was a bathroom and place to hold the actors...so that came in handy.

About Motel Locations

Motels are an excellent venue for holding events. They often have spacious banquet halls and private meeting rooms that accommodate up to several hundred guests. Motel facilities typically include an outdoor pool, a fitness center, and a business one with free Wi-Fi. Depending on the size of your gathering, you may choose from various layouts,d such as theater seating or classroom style. With its lush green lawns and well-manicured flower beds, this area generates a fitting backdrop for special events.

Hosts will love the high-tech audio/visual equipment that can be used for presentations or entertainment purposes. Guests appreciate the warm hospitality of renting a motel venue and its expansive interior areas suitable for any gathering they may be hosting or attending. People also admire the onsite parking lot, making it easy to bring along vehicles — if needed for transportation during their stay at the motel. With its convenient location and variety of amenities, it's no wonder why so many individuals choose this spot for their adventure needs.

The Best Events for Motel Locations

  • Theater Performances
The spacious interior allows plenty of room for audience seating and stage setup. At the same time, the high ceilings and classic design produce a fitting backdrop for all kinds of live theatrical productions — from musical revues to improvisational comedy. Plus, soundproof walls ensure that everyone in attendance can hear every word being said on stage without distractions from outside noise.

  • Birthday Parties
Motel venues also make great spaces for birthday parties. Their cozy ambiance is ideal for smaller groups of friends or households looking to get together and celebrate a significant milestone in someone’s life. Plus, because of these spaces' customizable nature, hosts can easily choose embellishments that reflect the celebrant’s personality or interests.

  • Corporate Events
Companies gathering for a space to hold corporate events such as presentations or meetings will find that a motel venue can be a great option due to its convenience and affordability. Most spots offer additional conveniences such as audio-visual tools, Wi-Fi access, and more, making it easy for companies to host professional and affordable gatherings.

  • Music Events
Finally, music lovers will appreciate how motels make great locations for musical performances and shows. Whether it's an intimate acoustic set or a larger band performance, they dispense soundproof rooms with enough capacity for a stage setup — so artists can give their audience an excellent performance without worrying about noise complaints from other guests in adjacent rooms.

What to Look for in Motel Locations

  • Location
The setting of the motel should be convenient and easily accessible for guests. Think about factors such as proximity to public transportation, nearby attractions, and parking availability. Additionally, it may be helpful to research the local laws that may affect the event in any way (e.g., noise ordinances).

  • Amenities
Review what resources are offered at the motel. Some things to look out for include Wi-Fi access, AV capabilities such as projection screens or audio equipment, catering options, wheelchair readiness, lounge areas, and outdoor seating.

  • Capacity
Ensure that the spot can accommodate all of your guests comfortably. If you expect many attendees, contemplate venues that provide multiple rooms or spaces so people can be divided accordingly. Make certain you also know how many tables and chairs you need to fit everyone snugly.

  • Price
Lastly, ensure you factor in the price when choosing a motel venue for your occasion. Compare prices at various locations to get the best deal possible for your forecast. Be sure to ask about any additional fees associated with booking!

How to Make Motel Events Better

  • Promote the Event in Advance
Be sure to let the public know that your motel location event is happening, especially if it’s outdoors. Use social media, website banners, and other marketing methods to reach your target audience and may help increase visitors' presence. You should also contemplate creating an email list to send updates about the gathering — so that guests are reminded of its date and time.

  • Plan for Weather Conditions
Depending on the time of year and geographical location you’re hosting the event, you may need to plan for all possible weather conditions. Assure there are contingency plans for rain or extreme temperatures that could distort normal ventures or make them impossible. If there are any outdoor activities, provide appropriate shelter from rain or sun exposure.

  • Offer Food and Beverage Options
Guests attending your motel location event will likely expect food and beverages to be available, so have a plan ahead of time. Consider offering food and drink options that appeal to various dietary preferences and sensitivities. Bestowing multiple alcoholic beverages can attract more guests, especially if they want more than soda or juice.

  • Provide Entertainment
To attract guests, focus on providing distinctive leisure at your motel's event. This could include live music acts, DJs spinning tunes, comedians doing stand-up routines, or even improv actors doing skits, depending on the crowd you’re expecting. Ensure there are enough actions throughout most of the night so everyone stays occupied until it’s time to go home — with great memories from your affair.

  • Have Safety Measures in Place
Safety should be paramount when hosting an event at a motel or any other environment where people gather in large numbers. Have rules in place regarding BYOBs (Bring Your Booze) or other dangerous substances like illicit drugs. Warrant staff knows these policies and how to handle such instances when necessary. Additionally, invite security personnel onsite who can intervene if anything goes wrong during the evening.
