About the Space

Welcome art lovers! Come check out The Galleries at 811 , where we house an array of businesses and events. We host events where you can meet our artists, engage with the community, create some art of your own, and shop for unique treasures. Galleries at 811 is the perfect venue for special occasions, such as wedding receptions, graduation parties, fundraising events, company parties, holiday parties and other social events. The gallery is located only 5 minutes from Uptown Charlotte, in the Eastover neighborhood. (Charletean's know it as the former "Colony Furniture" building). The open floor plan and moveable walls make it easily arrangeable for the requirement of your event. Local works of art on the walls make the space beautiful with no or minimal decoration. The gallery accommodates up to 100 people for a seated dinner and up to 150 guests in a cocktail setting. Separate Nooks/Showrooms are available to rent for additional cost. Fees are based on four (4) hours minimum usage of the facility. Rental Time is defined as: from the time you enter the building until the last person is out. Thirty minutes prior to the last hour, the music and bar must be closed down. All guests must vacate the building at the end of your allocated rental time limit. Renters will be charged or billed for any extra time. Renters are responsible for all set-up and decorating. No confetti, glitter, rice, birdseed or fresh flower petals may be used as decoration or thrown inside the premises. No staples, tacks, pins, or nails may be used to affix decorations. No adhesive tape of any kind can be used on any walls. In the event that proper authorization is not received and damage results, the cost of repair and/or replacement will be billed to you. Renter understands that this is an art gallery. There will be NO removal, moving, covering up, or censorship of any art in any manner. Sculpture will be moved to a secure area (corner or against a wall) to prevent damage. If a piece of sculpture is too big or difficult to move, it will stay in the gallery. This is a non-smoking facility at all times. $250 Security Deposit due at booking The Security Deposit secures your rental reservation and will be included in total pay. We offer special rates to non-profits, military & religious organizations.
