I had an unforgettable experience at this unique place! All of the interior designs and decorations were very aesthetic. They have a built in speaker, so it’s perfect to have a wonderful cocktail party with a jazzy vibe. I highly recommend bringing your own projector to enhance the ambiance. The owner of this place, Jeannie, was very nice and understanding. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to ask her or let her know firsthand. Overall, I can assure that this place will be the best option for special events. Thank you, Jeannie :)

Laura was awesome for communicating with and the space was exactly what we needed. I would book it again in a heartbeat. It's especially great for its location in the heart of Capitol Hill life. This is a workspace, not a polished sort of party location, so if you want it pretty, you have to bring the means.

We used the space for a Celebration of Life event. It was a perfect venue for this with two fully set up bar areas and a kitchen to keep catered food warm. Owner was very helpful in helping us coordinate with caterers, bartending service, banquet permit / insurance, etc. and was on-site during the event. AV setup and sound system was set up and ready to go. I'd recommend as a venue for parties and receptions.

Find Commercial Kitchen spaces in Seattle, WA

Seattle is much more than just the city with the iconic Space Needle, the Museum of Pop Culture, or the notable monorail. In fact, along with all that throbbing culture, food is an extremely important part of Seattle, as evidenced by the number of restaurants and food trucks.

For any person who owns food trucks or any kind of catering business and just doesn't have space in their own kitchen, commercial kitchen spaces are the way to go. You can search for a restaurant or cafe that'll allow you to use their industrial ovens and large counter spaces to prepare your delicacies or rent an entire commissary kitchen complete with cooking equipment and storage space. On the other hand, you can rent a private house or loft just for the use of their kitchen. Privacy, storage space, and security make up for the lack of state-of-the-art equipment.

Giggster not only has a variety of locations when it comes to commercial kitchens but also budget-friendly options! Operating out of your own kitchen but need a production space to get some aesthetic photographs? Don't worry. You can book a studio in the middle of the week and get those customer-winning shots in an aesthetically laid-out kitchen space at very little cost.

Whatever you may need, whether it's a restaurant with fully-equipped kitchens or a lowkey production spot, Giggster's carefully curated lists have just the place for you!

Seattle Commercial Kitchen Venues Curated by Giggster

A commercial kitchen with great lighting, clean counters, and plenty of storage space is really a must, whether it's a food truck that you're running or other kind of food businesses that you're involved with.

  • Looking for a large space with multiple ovens, countertops, and ample storage space? Search for a restaurant or cafe where you can use the kitchen early in the morning. The sleek counters and appliances make for excellent photo opportunities.

  • If it's a more homey atmosphere that you're going for, there are houses with warm wooden flooring and large windows allowing in plenty of natural light. If you need to come back, check if there's an area for dry storage so you can leave your ingredients there.

  • Want excellent lighting and professional-level photographs? Check out studios that can offer a kitchen space for you to film in.

  • For something like a commercial kitchen, you'll want to be near the center of the city. Lofts make for an easy access space so you can get around downtown Seattle that much more smoothly. But parking spots nearby are essential since you'll be carrying around a lot of equipment.

Pros and Cons of Commercial Kitchen Spaces in Seattle

Yes, we've already established that Seattle is an ideal city for food trucks and food businesses. But before you start booking kitchens, you might want to consider the other pros and cons of the city.

Advantages

  • With all that vibrant art and culture that Seattle has to offer, finding a proper commercial kitchen to work and film in isn't any sort of hardship at all. There are plenty of varied locations on offer!

  • The food and beverage scene is a competitive area in Seattle but it also means that there's plenty of demand. If you push yourself to be better, you'll be able to put yourself out there with ease.

  • The cooler climate of Seattle is a great boon. In fact, it's known for being the least air-conditioned city in the US. Since a production space can get very hot, you'll be relieved to hear that.

Disadvantages

  • Unfortunately, one of the biggest drawbacks of Seattle is that it's expensive! Maybe not as much as other West Coast cities like LA or San Francisco but it's something you'll need to keep in mind.

  • The adverse side of the cool Seattle weather is that it's pretty gloomy and cloudy most of the year. If you choose to operate a food truck or even do catering in Seattle, you should be prepared to save your equipment and supplies from the rain regularly.

  • While Seattle can meet most of your other needs, it's got an alarmingly high crime rate. When you're running a business, the crime rate of a city is an important factor.

Choosing the Right Type of Location for Commercial Kitchens in Seattle

Whether you're a baker, have a catering business, or operate a food truck, a commercial kitchen is very necessary. If your own kitchen won't suffice, Giggster has plenty of spaces to choose from with 128 listings.

Restaurants and Bars – Industrial-Scale Kitchens. For lots of small-scale food businesses, food trucks, and caterers, their private kitchens aren't big enough to get the job done. In such a case, some restaurants and eateries are happy to lend out their kitchens at a certain time of day or week. The professional equipment and clean surfaces are always great if there are no scheduling problems.

House – Private and Accessible. On the other hand, some business owners might find that home kitchens suit their needs better. Not only is there more security and storage space if you're the only one using the room, but you might also feel more of a connection with a more private space.

Studio – Perfect Backdrops. Rent a studio with excellent lighting and aesthetic decor when you need to get some filming or photography done for your food. Promotional material is an essential part of running a business, after all, and if you're not comfortable filming in your kitchen, studios give you access to professional services.

Trendy Event Spaces – Versatile and Unconventional. Most event spaces, well-lit and spacious though they are, don't come equipped with a kitchen. However, there is certainly an area or two that will meet your specific needs. Usually smaller and without much storage room, these are better for work on a minor scale.

Loft – Fashionable Production Spaces. If it's essential that you be close to the heart of Seattle, a loft or apartment is what we can offer. Their kitchens definitely won't be huge but an oven, some area for dry storage, and good lighting are sometimes all you need.

Planning for Your Commercial Kitchen Spaces in Seattle

Starting or even expanding a business is certainly a scary proposition. If you've never gone in search of commercial kitchens, you might be confused how to proceed. But with a few tips, you can do it!

Determine the Budget – The first step to anything is to know the budget. This will determine how big or small your space will be, and how much money you have left over for equipment and for promoting yourself.

Pick Your Space – Once you've decided on a budget, you can go ahead and pick out the best space for you. Caterers who supply food for events generally need much more space than an amateur baker or food truck owner.

Gather the Equipment – Any kind of business requires equipment. Depending on the amount of storage space the kitchen has and how easily you can access it, you can buy your equipment or rent it. Don't forget a camera so that you can take those promotional shots!

Fix Your Schedule – If the kitchen is for shared use, then you'll need to fix a schedule since they book up quickly. How much food preparation can you do in advance, how much time will you need and how many days a week do you need to use the space?

How to Save Money on Your Commercial Kitchen Spaces in Seattle

Caterers and small business owners should keep careful track of their spending so there's no waste of time and money.

How much can you spend?

Once you nail down what your expenses should be and in which areas they should be, it's so much easier to get started with everything. You should try to stick to your budget as far as possible.

Consider the equipment you need.

You don't need to buy brand-new equipment for everything. Commercial kitchens mean easy access to professional equipment and you can rent cameras to do your filming and photography!

Is your schedule flexible?

If you want a greater range of cheap venues, you should rent your space during the middle of the week at a less popular time. For example, early in the morning or late at night is ideal.
