As soon as I walked into the space I let out an audible "Woah". It's massive and open, with beautiful light coming from many windows. The owner was very easy to work with, we felt very accommodated. My one note is that it is right beside an active train line. If you are doing work that is audio dependant its something to keep in mind. 100% will book again!

Kristen and Guy were incredibly gracious and attentive hosts who had the flexibility to extend the hours needed to complete our Indie shoot. Their property and home is immaculate, with plenty of space in the basement for cast and crew holding for our 15 person team. As it is a modern home, there are plenty of 20amp power outlets for lighting and accessories. Highly recommend.

Tips on How to Organize Commercial Kitchen Spaces in Indianapolis

Hosting events in a commercial kitchen can be challenging. Here are five tips to help you plan an event in a commercial kitchen:

  • Plan Your Layout: Work on the layout of general and specific areas within the kitchen; consider how you want people to move through the space, such as the positioning of the stations or the equipment needed for different tasks. Having a good flow and organization of your layout will help ensure that your event runs smoothly.

  • Use the Available Appliances: Commercial kitchens often come with many appliances that can make food preparation much easier and faster than it would be otherwise. Use these appliances by planning and incorporating them into your cooking or serving plans whenever possible.

  • Uphold Safety Standards: Make sure all equipment is up to date on servicing, that there is proper ventilation, that clear walkways and exits are available at all times, and that temperature monitoring systems are set up correctly throughout the facility.

  • Create Efficient Food Preparation Areas: Maximize efficiency in food preparation by keeping supplies within reach. It helps prevent unnecessary delays during food preparation and gives employees more time to focus on other tasks associated with putting together dishes for guests attending your event.

  • Use Technology To Streamline Processes: Technology can speed up processes in a commercial kitchen setting, from inventory management software to automated dishwashing machines.
