  • Indianapolis, IN
This house is located near downtown Indianapolis in Windsor Park, one of the city's original streetcar suburbs. Built in 1886, it's on the National Register of Historic Places in the Library of Congress. This incredible steam-age chateau is known for its elaborate plaster ceilings created by Englishman William Prosser who designed much of the ornamental plaster in the Indiana State House and many of the long gone but incredibly beautiful Victorian hotels of the city's "mile square." The site is a great location for period dramas and eclectic baroque pop pieces (a la Wes Anderson), as well as gothic, fantasy, and retro sci-fi genres.
