OMG this was a really nice space to use. Rebekah is super consistent with communication and she responds quickly. I was allowed to use lights and props which made things much easier for me. I didn’t even need to bring as much equipment as I did. Will definitely use this space again.

  • Culinary businesses and entrepreneurs have the ability to showcase spreads or table meals in ways they typically wouldn’t be able to without access to large-scale production equipment.

Disadvantages

  • Using a shared commercial kitchen space could come with potential health code violations if proper sanitation protocols are not followed.

  • It might be difficult to obtain necessary permits or licenses from local authorities, if needed, for certain types of events.

Tips on How to Organize Commercial Kitchen Spaces in Houston

Planning a function at a commercial kitchen space in Houston can be quite the undertaking. Here are five tips to help make the process go more smoothly:

  • Take full advantage of the available commercial kitchen space by optimally organizing equipment, seating, and other necessary elements. Create a good flow of movement throughout the area to maximize efficiency and reduce any potential delays.

  • Establish a timeline for setting up, serving, and cleaning up afterward. Break down each step of the process so that tasks are completed quickly and efficiently.

  • Things don’t always go according to plan. Have backups in place for unpredictable events such as power outages or equipment malfunctions. It’s best to plan ahead and have alternative solutions ready to go just in case something unexpected happens.

  • Food safety should always be at the forefront when planning an occasion in a commercial kitchen space. Food should be stored, handled, and prepared properly according to safety standards set by local health codes and regulations. Additionally, establish appropriate personal hygiene practices for all workers handling food items to follow.

  • Sometimes it's best to hire professionals who are experienced in managing such occasions. They know what steps need to be taken in order to properly organize the space while following all necessary regulations and guidelines set forth by local authorities.
