Michelle is a wonderful host. We filmed a PSA commercial at her house and she was so helpful moving some furniture out of the way for us. Her entire house has a very ZEN- feel and the entire crew enjoyed spending the day there. There are many different spaces that are useful for filming and photo shoots. The alley gate gave us great access to unload. We are hoping to be back some day soon!! We highly recommend this location to other productions or for photo shoots.

Tips on How to Organize Plants Spaces in San Diego

San Diego is known for its mild climate, making it the perfect location to host events that involve plants. Here are a few tips on how to prepare plants space in San Diego for events or photo shoots:

  • Choose the Right Space: Consider how large of an area you'll need for your guests/crew/equipment. If you're expecting a large group, look for outdoor spaces that give people enough room to spread out and enjoy the plants. Additionally, go for a venue with enough sunlight and access to water so that plants stay healthy throughout.

  • Create an Ambiance: Incorporate natural elements into the space design such as rocks, wood pieces and logs, and living wall art installations that create an inviting atmosphere. Hang string lights or use candles or lanterns around your outdoor space for extra illumination when night falls.

  • Prioritize Safety: Have several first aid kits available onsite in case someone needs medical attention due to allergies or other plant-related injuries. Provide staff members with gloves and face masks, if necessary, as well as plenty of hand sanitizer stations throughout the area for guests' convenience. Keep any poisonous plants out of reach or completely remove them from the area if possible.

  • Set Up Zones: Give visitors a chance to explore different sections of the space by providing distinctly demarcating the area based on themes, types of plants, or activities. Have a music corner, craft stations featuring succulents, cacti varieties, and more!

  • Consider Audio/Video Needs: Depending on the program for your event, it might be necessary to provide audio equipment such as speakers and microphones along with video technology like projectors or TV screens.

  • Provide Refreshments & Entertainment: Allow visitors a chance to sample some tasty treats made with locally sourced ingredients.
