It went well ! Super easy to access. Only thing is if you're looking to shoot boudoir bring something to hide the glass window so other people in the other 2 dance studios don't lerk but appart from that it truly was perfect. Light is very good through the 2 big windows.

Montreal Wedding Venues: Why Montreal is the Best Destination for Wedding Receptions

Let's face it: the wedding venue you choose has a huge influence on how you, your partner, and your friends and family will remember your special day. The good news is that Montreal makes it easy to host weddings that your guests will rave about for years to come. Here's why.

Strong Food Scene
Nowhere is the French influence more evident in Montreal than in its fine dining scene. Seriously, the city is home to some world-class restaurants for you to check out, many of them boasting a distinctly French flavor. But the multicultural nature of this global city means you'll find cuisine from Africa, Asia, and plenty of other far-flung places here. That's good news for wedding guests looking to dine out while visiting Quebec for your wedding, and even better for couples searching for high-quality catering for your wedding reception.

Arts and Cultural Attractions

From the McCord Stewart Museum that celebrates Montreal's history, to the thousands of artworks on display at Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal, you really are spoiled for choice in the artistic department. And that makes it a wonderful city when you need to entertain guests from out of town before they arrive at your wedding venue.

Wide Range of Venues
What do you picture in your mind as your ideal wedding venue? Is it small and understated or majestic and extravagant? Do you want a rustic space with brick and stone walls or something a little more refined? How about an outdoor wedding ceremony? No matter how you want to celebrate your special day, Montreal offers a diverse range of wedding venues to suit. Start comparing indoor and outdoor spaces to find what you want.

Customize Your Wedding Venue: Wedding Reception Trends in Montreal

From downtown Montreal to its diverse neighborhoods, there's much you can do to tailor your reception room to create the type of wedding experience you want. Whether your style is modern elegance or traditional refinement, there are lots of simple things you can do to help make your wedding venue just that little bit more special.

Unique Venues
The first easy opportunity to create a custom wedding is in your choice of wedding venue. The best wedding venues for some people may be conventional and unremarkable, but for you the right space may be something truly unique. Think an airy loft or industrial chic space, a boutique hotel or resort venue, a rooftop terrace, or an underground bar—it all comes down to what you and your partner desire, so compare a range of wedding venue options and choose carefully.

Micro Weddings
Intimate weddings are popular at the moment, with many couples wanting a low-key celebration with their nearest and dearest rather than an overwhelming (and expensive) large gathering. A small space for your special day gives you the chance to share the experience with the people who are most important to you. And when you keep the guest list short, you'll find that you have a wide range of indoor wedding venues and outdoor wedding venues to choose from.

Non-traditional Entertainment
If you don't want your wedding day to be an overly formal occasion, you can mix things up at both the ceremony and reception with some unconventional entertainment. Jugglers and circus performers, for example, will create a unique atmosphere, while offering interactive games for your guests will help keep the good times flowing. Remember, this is a day for you and your partner, so, like the wedding venue, the entertainment can be whatever you want it to be.

Annual Events in Montreal

Planning a wedding in downtown Montreal? The city has a packed calendar of annual festivals, which, while they're cultural highlights, can make it difficult for out-of-town guests to find accommodation on the busiest weekends. Keep these wonderful festivals in mind when choosing a wedding venue and date.

Osheaga
Osheaga is often described as Montreal's version of Coachella or Glastonbury. Each year, it draws in over 130,000 music fans keen to witness live performances from acts like Dua Lipa, Eminem, Coldplay, and a host of other global stars. Over 100 bands perform over the three-day event program, while art exhibitions are held throughout the city too.

Montreal International Jazz Festival
Keen jazz fans pencil the Montreal International Jazz Festival into their calendar each year, and with good reason. This jazz fest is held in late June and early July and welcomes over 3,000 performers to the Quebec capital. There are over 500 indoor and outdoor shows to enjoy over the course of the festival, many of which are free. As a result, the Quartier des Spectacles is pumping all event long.

St-Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival
The St-Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival is held among the artsy vibe of Plateau-Mont-Royal. This fun fringe event hosts 800-plus performances from Canadian and international artists, and they range from comedy and dance performances to some truly unconventional displays you're unlikely to see anywhere else.

It's here that you can shop the city's best vintage clothing stores, while the day away in cafes or restaurants dishing up exotic cuisine, and admire the area's pretty colorful houses. But it really comes alive at night, when the bars and eateries are always full of people, conversation, and music.
