The owner Steph was a pleasure to have on set. She was so accommodating and nice. The location team with Adam was also really understanding and professional every step of the way. Thank you everyone!!
Adam’s space was beautifully decorated and made a great backdrop for our film shoot. Visually, the location is stunning and matched what we were looking for. That said, we did experience a few challenges related to communication and coordination.
There seemed to be a disconnect between the rental team and the in-house staff at the restaurant. When we arrived, the workers on-site were not aware of our reservation, which made things a bit confusing at first. Fortunately, they were kind and helpful once we explained the situation.
We also encountered an unexpected disruption during our shoot when a delivery truck arrived and created a lot of noise for about 20 minutes. We reached out to the owner about it, and he was apologetic, which we appreciated.
A heads-up for others considering this location: the restaurant is near a major road, so you can expect occasional background noise from traffic, including emergency vehicles and honking.
Overall, the space itself was great for our purposes, but the experience would have been smoother with better communication and coordination from the rental team. With some improvements on that front, this could be a top-tier filming location.
This is a magical place, managed by people who might also be slightly magical, because they helped us in so many ways to achieve our dream shoot. I must thank Adam, Ashley, Farida, Keith, Beto and everyone at Rise Above Locations. Even our crew were impressed, many of them old pros. Every concern was addressed in a timely manner, the hosts were more than generous, and we literally could not have pulled off such a successful shoot without them. I shall miss this place, and look forward to returning!
