The location was even better in-person than in the photos. Close to the freeway with a great backdrop of the LA skyline and A LOT of of natural light for video and photo shoots. Easy load-in from the street with easy access to the freight elevator makes the location an easy space to access with equipment for a shoot. Tristan was a very responsive and accommodating host as well. It's quite literally almost a PERFECT location. The only slight drawback is the parking situation if you have a crew of more than a handful. Street parking can be a bit of a challenge around this area depending on time/day of the week...but the space and Tristan's service made it more than worthwhile to book the space. I would HIGHLY recommend booking here, and I will most certainly be back if the need arises.

We loved having our photoshoot here, the space was beautiful, clean and easy to rearrange! The plants are very happy, healthy and well taken care of. It was so nice having the Cafe downstairs for a coffee and sandwich break. Jo was super helpful and responsive from booking inquiry to ending our session, thanks so much! We will definitely be back. :)

Pros and Cons of Intimate Weddings in Austin

Intimate weddings present a unique opportunity for couples to host a smaller event that can be as unique and special as they want it to be. While planning an intimate wedding in Austin comes with its own considerations, the rewards of hosting such an event could make it worthwhile. Here are some of the key pros and cons worth considering when thinking about organizing an intimate wedding in Austin:

Advantages

  • Intimate weddings often require less time to plan since they involve fewer people. This makes it easier to stay within budget while having an unforgettable event.

  • With an intimate wedding, couples have more opportunities to spend time with their guests instead of rushing around trying to accommodate large numbers of people.

  • No need to worry about finding a venue that can accommodate hundreds of guests; smaller venues, such as art galleries or private residences, are ideal for intimate gatherings.

  • An intimate wedding often leads to increased creativity. Couples can focus on details like centerpieces or décor that may not have been possible with a bigger guest list.

Disadvantages

  • While it’s true that smaller guest lists require less time for planning, it also means less help from family and friends.

  • Intimate weddings may not appeal as much as traditional ones since large-scale events are often seen as “more festive” due to the presence of many people celebrating you together.

  • Intimate weddings limit how many people can attend, leaving out some relatives or close friends who would like to be present on such an important day.

  • Intimate weddings mean fewer vendors, which might reduce some services normally included at larger events.

Tips on How to Organize Intimate Weddings in Austin

Intimate weddings are becoming increasingly popular, particularly in Austin, where the city's vibrant culture and stunning outdoor venues make it an ideal destination for a unique wedding. To help you plan the perfect intimate wedding in Austin, here are some tips to ensure that your special day runs smoothly:

  • Plan Ahead – Time management is key when organizing an intimate wedding. Start by making lists of “must do” tasks like booking vendors and reserving venues as soon as possible so that everything falls into place when the big day arrives. Also, consider any inclement weather conditions like rain or wind that could affect outdoor plans or decorations so you can adjust accordingly if needed.

  • Utilize local caterers – Austin offers some excellent caterers who specialize in creating tasty dishes for intimate weddings. Discuss dietary restrictions ahead so everyone can enjoy the meal without worry. From classic Tex-Mex cuisine to vegan options and everything in between, there’s something for everyone!

  • Keep decorations simple yet elegant – Intimate weddings don't need over-the-top decorations because they don't require as much space or materials as large gatherings. Opting for a few choice pieces such as fresh flowers, candlelight displays, string lights, or even floating lanterns will add the right touch without overwhelming your guests.

  • Create a special playlist – Whether you’re looking for mellow acoustic tunes or upbeat dance music, create a personalized playlist that reflects the vibe you want at your wedding. You could even ask each guest beforehand what their favorite song is so it can be included!

  • Get creative with favors – Small tokens are always appreciated by family and friends attending intimate weddings. Consider giving away homemade jams or jellies from local producers, bottles of wine from nearby wineries, artisanal chocolates from local chocolate makers, and handmade jewelry from local artisans —anything that represents the area, and its traditions will go down a treat!
