We rented the FilmStudioLA hospital stage to film and photograph models using products for a medical device company. It was exactly what we needed! We paid for the pre-lite (highly recommend for time) and that got us 70% of the way with the lighting, and we used a few Aputures with soft boxes to dial it in the rest of the way.
You can drive one car or truck inside at a time almost right to the stage, and that was super helpful to load-in and out.
Vince was truly awesome and made it all run so smooth. We were lucky to have him throughout the day.
We even left a piece of equipment, and Vince went the extra mile to make sure it was returned to us. I was blown away by the customer service.
The final result: the client was happy with the results! We’ll certainly be back!

My second time using the hospital studio. One a 12 hour shoot the other 6 hours. I needed the lighting add on and I suspect most shoots will need it unless they bring all encompassing lighting. The walls and floor aren’t pristine but it didn’t affect us. The hosts were responsive and ensured the studio didn’t hinder the shoot. They were understanding when it came to emotional taker under pressure. I highly recommend.

The set was exactly what we needed for a hospital room with two beds, waiting room, nurses station, and hallway.
We had 25 cast and crew for 12 hours. Not crowded three restrooms, large eating area, and private changing room.
There are a few things we easily shot around which would help the set I’d replaced (ie the window blinds) but didn’t impact us. I recommend the set. We shoot there again in a month.
