Lights have to be set by your crew, unless you have added our Pre-lit option. Tours and Scouts: Schedule here: filmstudiola.com/tour - no additional availability is offered. Please tour the facility to ensure it meets your production requirements. Leave No Trace: Client is responsible to return the space as found. Any issues with the facility the Guest finds must be documented in writing via message on the ​G​iggster platform. Booked Hours: Begins when the first person parks in our parking lot and ends when the last person leaves our parking lot. Clients must include prep/strike time in their booked hours. Crew/talent/guests, and equipment must be out of the studio and parking gates by the end of your booked hours to avoid overtime charges. Charges will be billed via ​G​iggster within 72 hours. Prohibited Items: ​Please ask for any items you bring into the facility. An additional extensive clean up fee starting at $500 will be charged for violations to restore the studio and for downtime. Drilling holes into the walls, ceiling and doors is prohibited (no screws, hooks or anchors); only 3M command strips (double-sided tape) is allowed on the walls and must be fully removed. Damage fees apply. Rental Equipment: We do not offer gear, please bring your own. Lost or Stolen Gear - we assume no responsibility for items left behind. Animals: All animals/pets are prohibited with the exception of service animals with valid permits. Fire Sprinkler System: DO NOT hang or tape or cover the fire pipes or sprinklers. Full restoration damage charges and/or a minimum fine of $700 per occurrence will be charged for failure to comply. LAFD fines will be charged to the renter. Set Lighting: Our photos were taken by a professional cinematographer. Client is responsible for lighting the set Damages:​ Renter is responsible for leaving the space in the same condition as prior to commencement. Damage charges will be billed within 72 hours via ​G​iggster. Cleaning Fee: Renters are required to do a quick clean-up which includes sweeping the floor, wiping the chairs/tables/appliances, cleaning the fridge, putting back props/ furniture, folding the tables/chairs, and moving all trash into outside cans. If extensive clean-up is required, an additional cleaning fee will apply. Props: Props are free but cannot be guaranteed to be present or working on the day of production. If your production hinges on a particular prop, please rent it independently. Stage Managers: Stage Managers have no authority to modify our existing agreements, including, but not limited to, waiving fees. All modification requests must be made M-F, 9AM-4PM for consideration, min 24hrs before hard-in.

We rented the FilmStudioLA hospital stage to film and photograph models using products for a medical device company. It was exactly what we needed! We paid for the pre-lite (highly recommend for time) and that got us 70% of the way with the lighting, and we used a few Aputures with soft boxes to dial it in the rest of the way. You can drive one car or truck inside at a time almost right to the stage, and that was super helpful to load-in and out. Vince was truly awesome and made it all run so smooth. We were lucky to have him throughout the day. We even left a piece of equipment, and Vince went the extra mile to make sure it was returned to us. I was blown away by the customer service. The final result: the client was happy with the results! We’ll certainly be back!

My second time using the hospital studio. One a 12 hour shoot the other 6 hours. I needed the lighting add on and I suspect most shoots will need it unless they bring all encompassing lighting. The walls and floor aren’t pristine but it didn’t affect us. The hosts were responsive and ensured the studio didn’t hinder the shoot. They were understanding when it came to emotional taker under pressure. I highly recommend.

The set was exactly what we needed for a hospital room with two beds, waiting room, nurses station, and hallway. We had 25 cast and crew for 12 hours. Not crowded three restrooms, large eating area, and private changing room. There are a few things we easily shot around which would help the set I’d replaced (ie the window blinds) but didn’t impact us. I recommend the set. We shoot there again in a month.
