I booked this space for a film and photo project. The customer service I received from Sopearin, was beyond excellent, as he was prompt to stay in touch and answer any and all questions I had upon arrival. The space provided lots of natural light and looked even better in person. This space was very clean and is very well kept. I highly recommend booking this space for your next project. I will definitely book this space again! I am extremely satisfied with my experience,

Linette is a superstar! The booking itself was effortless. We eventually ended up not using the venue as we had an unforseen circumstances from our end. However Linette was a star. Through the difficulty we were facing she was flexible, willing to extend the booking to another date while we resolved the situation at hand. She checked on us often to ensure we were OK which was outside of the booking and was flexible when we had to change the date yet again. It is absolutely refreshing to know that people still have heart and compassion in the world that we live in and have the capacity to slow down to ensure others are OK. It was not about the money. I would recommend this place 100000000% because the host is out of this world!

About Dance Shoots

Dancing means something different to every person. To some, dancing is but a mere pastime, something to take up their time on the weekends or at parties and get-togethers when the music comes on. But to others, dancing is a way for people to express themselves in a manner that can’t be expressed through writing or speaking, a way for people to relax and take a break from the day’s troubles.

Since each dance has a unique style, obtaining a location that fits the theme of the dance is important. After all, it would be fitting to have a ballroom dance shoot being shot within a ballroom. Whether it’s a dance shoot to spread awareness for a cause or a shoot that aims to advertise a product, finding a location that suits your theme can enhance your upcoming production.

Finding locations that match the style of dancing you plan to shoot isn’t easy, but it’s well worth it, as the final product often resonates well with your target audience.

The Best Dance Shoot Venues

Any venue can serve as a potential dance venue, the only thing you need to consider is which site best applies to your specific dance shoot. With the only limit being your imagination, considering a few more potential dance shoot locations may be just what you need to spark your creative process.

  • Dance Studios
A staple in the dance industry, open dance studios have everything you need to get into the proper mood. From pristine speaker placement to ensure you feel the music in your bones to proper lighting and floors to ensure that everything you do can be seen. Many studios these days come with additional features like air conditioning which ensure that all your dancers will stay relaxed and comfortable amidst the strenuous routines they perform.

  • Warehouses
These open areas are a great venue for all sorts of dance shoots. The space a warehouse provides allows you to get creative with the placement of props and dancers to make a unique arrangement or a statement of some sort. Many modern industrial warehouses have no more central pillars which means that you won’t have to worry about any dancers being obscured.

  • Hotels
Opt for a classier dance shoot video by looking for a hotel as a possible venue. Most hotel managers and owners are friendly and can host your dance shoot if it adheres to their conditions. Hotels are generally lenient to larger groups thanks to a naturally larger space in lobbies which means that you can bring groups of different sizes to these venues.

  • Outdoor Spaces
From wide open fields to forest terrain, dance videos make use of a wide variety of natural elements. The famous song “Save Me” by the band BTS was shot in an open field and made use of natural lighting and the background to set it in another league, dance video-wise. With many options to consider, a beautiful outdoor space might be just what you need to make a successful dance video.

What to Look for in Dance Shoot Spaces

Dance shoot videos can take place in all sorts of environments and synergizing the dance shoot with the location is key. Taking a few factors into consideration before finalizing your decision on a dance shoot location is important as it can prevent any rash decisions and oversights.

  • Accessibility
Rotations play a big role in dance shoots, and the timing when certain dancers enter a frame is vital as it can make or break the dance video. Having a dance shoot site that has multiple entry points can help make the entire process easier for the dance coordinator and the dancers.

  • Safety
Ensuring that all crew members and dancers are safe is of utmost priority. Also, having a secure dance space is important especially if you plan on utilizing all the facilities on-site. Checking for any hazardous equipment is vital when scouting out potential dance shoot venues.

  • Capacity
It is important to know the capacity of your venue as it can make it easier for your dancers to move freely. Having a smaller location means fewer dancers and vice versa, so ensuring you have the right capacity for your number of dancers is vital.

  • Atmosphere
Your dance shoot is sure to have a theme, so picking out a location that suits your theme is vital. It makes the rest of the setup much easier as you don’t have to exert time and effort in designing the area.

  • Features
Ensuring your dance shoot location has certain features can make the entire shoot go smoothly. Having Wi-Fi on-site, for instance, can help you upload your content faster to your editors so that they can begin working immediately.

Dance Shoot Inspirations

Express your desired emotion by obtaining a venue where you can be free to dance to your heart’s content. Many venues are out there waiting to be explored, all you must do is look for them.

  • Ballroom Dancing in a Grand Hall
Plan out a large-scale dance shoot in a great hall. These venues have high ceilings and great acoustics which help the sound of the music reach every corner of the venue. Ballrooms are large enough to allow producers to either choose to focus on a pair of dancers or zoom out to capture the entire scene. Consider some ballroom options before finalizing your decision.

  • Modern Dancing at a Warehouse
Sometimes silence speaks volumes. Warehouses are great venues that allow viewers to get creative with their interpretation of the dance routine. Many warehouses are often bare which means that you can consider all sorts of routines.

  • Hip-Hop Routine on a Rooftop
Express freedom and leave the audience in awe by utilizing rooftop venues for your next hip-hop dance shoot. These venues are often very airy and allow dancers to utilize their environment to express their emotions.

  • Jazz Dancing in a Theater
These venues are great for impromptu audiences and dancers which align with the theme of jazz dancing. With a spotlight on the dancers, theaters can highlight the creativity that jazz dancing brings.

  • Flamenco at a Villa
Spanish Villas often have exuberant colors and can be used to highlight the bright colors that your dancers wear. The floors of these villas were practically meant with flamencos in mind, seeing as they resonate loudly when stamped on by feet.
