This piece of American history started life as the Valentine V. It has been reported to have served as a state side PT boat, we are trying to confirm that. According to the Mariners Museum she is only one of three built by Chris Craft in 1939. She was once owned by legendary country artist Hank Snow and was named The Golden Rocket after his hit song and a picture of Hank on this boat is hanging in the Country Music Hall of Fame. It is currently under restoration by 20 y/o Andy Eisenhauer, a novice sailor, old soul and banjo picker. He actually lives on the boat and is very open to seeing it in music videos, documentaries, film, etc.
The interior is fairly original except for a few details. We have some sales adds of what the boat would have looked like when it came out of the factory. The decks are in need of sanding and revarnishing. Overall the boat is seaworthy and Andy (my son) takes it out on the Cumberland often.
