I had a family photoshoot here in our traditional Cambodian wedding outfits and we really had a great experience! The place is super bright even when the sun was coming and going. It was also very spatious as we had room for six of us to change outfits about 4-5 times, for a total of 14 people. There's a makeup station so we were able to do our makeup and hair from 9am to 12h30 ish. A few people were complaining that there was no AC as it got very hot in the afternoon, but at least windows can be opened. The host was very responsible and very sweet! Very glad I booked this studio!

Time Restrictions: When shooting in private venues, time restrictions or noise limitations may affect production plans.

Unpredictability: Locations may look great on paper but have unexpected conditions on site that could detract from production goals or increase costs associated with accommodating them.

Limitations: Renting a filming location means there are certain limitations in terms of what you can do regarding set design or props that must be accounted for ahead of time.

Tips on How to Organize Film Shoots in Montreal

Planning a film shoot in Montreal can feel overwhelming. To ensure seamless production, here are some valuable tips to consider:

Book your crew and talent early: Montreal has many experienced professionals in the film industry, so it is important to book them as far in advance as you can. This will ensure that you have the right people for the job when you need them.

Plan ahead for permits: Different locations have different requirements when it comes to filming, so be sure to research any locations you plan on using and apply for the appropriate permits well before your shoot date.

Scout out locations: Montreal is home to a variety of stunning backdrops for your production, from iconic skylines and beautiful parks to historic buildings and the legendary show bar from “The United States vs. Billie Holiday.” Or explore Montréal's filming locations in "Battlefield Earth," which tells the story of a young man, Jonnie Goodboy Tyler, in a dystopian future where an alien race rules Earth.
