I booked this venue for a bridal shower and every guest was super impressed, asking where I found it! Bright, beautiful, spacious and offers many perks (kitchen, tables, chairs, benches, large balcony etc.). The booking process went very smoothly and Richa (our contact for the venue) was extremely helpful, especially since I live out of town. The one issue was that the door to the building requires a fob to get in, so guests were unable to walk in on their own and we would have to let them in. However, that wasn't a big deal for us! We have no regrets booking this venue and we highly recommend!

Tips on How to Organize Garden Weddings in Houston

Planning a garden wedding can be a lot of work, but it is also a very special and memorable event. When planning a garden wedding in Houston, there are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Venue research: Choose a garden venue in Houston that has plenty of space for guests to move around freely and also provides easy access to restrooms and other amenities. Consider attractions such as fountains, gazebos, or statues that can add an extra-special touch to your wedding day.

  • The weather: Take into consideration Houston's unpredictable weather patterns when planning your outdoor wedding. Have an alternate indoor backup plan ready in case of inclement weather, and be sure to provide shade for guests during hot summer days.

  • Use your surroundings: Make use of the surrounding greenery by decorating with seasonal flowers and anything that highlights the beauty of nature. Accentuate any focal point like the altar or head table with large arrangements of wildflowers or tall potted plants.

  • Photography: Utilize the natural light from sunset and sunrise to create beautiful wedding photos and videos of your special day. If you’re having a late afternoon or evening reception, be sure to provide adequate lighting for both guests and vendors alike.

  • Choosing vendors: Select vendors who have experience setting up garden weddings in Houston, such as caterers who are familiar with local ingredients, photographers who know the perfect locations for stunning outdoor shots, florists who understand how to work with native foliage, sound engineers who can amplify music without disturbing the peace, etc. Ensure that all vendors are willing to accommodate changes due to weather conditions (if needed).
