About

ArtFarm Movie Ranch is a 12-acre private family ranch, tucked in a secluded valley at the end of the road, surrounded by the Angeles National Forest. Just over an hour from Los Angeles, this hidden gem offers productions rare access to immersive natural landscapes and a visually curated collection of production-ready, cinematically styled spaces “ArtFarm Movie Ranch” represents an artistic identity and creative banner, not a commercial studio designation. The property operates as a non-commercial, family-run homestead, and the ArtFarm Movie Ranch name is the creative identity through which our private ranch engages with the film and entertainment industry — reflecting our artistic vision, cinematic landscape, and dedication to authentic storytelling. All productions must carry FilmLA permits and comply with local county, health and fire codes. ArtFarm serves as a creative playground for Visual storytellers seeking story-rich terrain, authentic ranch aesthetics, and high-desert magic.

LOVED this space and the hosts!!! Would 10/10 recommend. We shot in the dark in the forest and had a really cool lighting setup. Saskia and her team were SUPER helpful. We reached out to them the day before our shoot and they were able to work with us and accommodate all our needs. We are super grateful for them and the space.
Space was perfect for you film shoot. Owner was very, very accommodating and helped us out when a previous location cancelled and made sure we got everything we needed. Would definitely recommend.
💛💛💛 "H"artfarm is a super special place with heart! I filmed a nonprofit project here for three days, and it honestly felt like I was being welcomed into someone’s home, not just a location. The family who owns the place opened their home to us in a way that made us feel completely at ease, and they went above and beyond for us. Tony and Saskia even helped with a portion of the script that just didn’t flow right that afternoon — and helped us restructure the project in a way that made everything work better than before. Sometimes a few simple good ideas make all the difference… and one brilliant idea is worth a thousand thank-yous! They even let us film for free for two days and only charged us for the first original day, just to make sure the mission and results were everything we hoped for and more. Who does that anymore? That kind of generosity is rare. It reminded me why I started doing this work in the first place — to make a difference, tell stories that matter, and connect with people who truly get it. Massive thanks to Saskia and her family for being so supportive, kind, and genuine. You’re the kind of humans who make it all worth it. 💛 thank you guys so super much forEVER :)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As a film student creating my thesis on the global urgency of saving the bees, discovering ArtFarm Ranch felt like finding the living heart of my story. This land breathes with authenticity — a working homestead nestled in the high desert, humming with life and sincerity. Every frame we shot carried the subtle symphony of pollinators at work: the low vibration of hives at dawn, the golden drift of bees moving between wild sage blossoms, the sound of wings syncing with the wind. The ranch isn’t just a backdrop — it’s a living organism where nature, art, and stewardship intertwine. The owners are true guardians of their hives, practicing ethical, small-scale beekeeping rooted in respect rather than extraction. Their colonies are healthy, docile, and astonishingly calm — a sign of expert hive management and gentle hands. Even my professional beekeeper was amazed at the serenity of their apiary; these bees seemed to understand that we were there to honor them, not exploit them. From sunrise shots of the desert bees foraging in wild rosemary to golden-hour scenes framed by the shimmer of honeycomb, everything about ArtFarm reinforced the essence of my film — that the survival of bees is the survival of beauty itself. When we wrapped, the owners invited us to share hot wild sage tea sweetened with their herbal-infused honey — a final communion between humans, bees, and story. It wasn’t just a film shoot. It was a reminder that art and nature can still dance together, and that sometimes the camera finds more than an image — it finds truth. 🎬🐝🌾
We shot a whimsical, fairy-inspired Commercial @Artfarm.Movieranch and the forest was pure enchantment ✨🧚‍♀️. Sunlight spilled through the canopy, creating natural spotlight beams like we rented a Hollywood rig. We didn’t even need to add much — the moss, manzanita, and wildflowers made the set feel storybook-perfect. My models looked like they’d stepped straight out of a fairytale. The ArtFarm team was so supportive and flexible, they let us experiment with props and movement until we found pure magic. It’s the kind of forest you dream about filming in
