This location was amazing - super quiet and tucked away which made for really easy filming and perfect audio recording. John the host was a pleasure to work with, flexible, and accommodating. There was great communication throughout the booking, the house looked exactly as pictured and made for a really interesting look for our film. So many rooms and options, beautiful backyard and pool area which was a great and relaxing space for our crew's meal breaks. Ample parking, easy load in, all in all one of our best locations. We will definitely book this place again. Thank you John!

This location is incredible. Tons of indoor and outdoor space, tons of different options for looks and rooms throughout the property. John was very accommodating and quick to respond to anything we needed. 5 stars. Would 100% book here again for future projects.

The best best ever, everything was so smooth. They don’t live there so that’s a bonus. The owners were so helpful & communicating so fast. I cannot thank John & His family enough for making this so easy. Also this house has so manyyy different looks and areas it’s unbelievably aesthetically pleasing. Usually some locations can be so difficult or not versed into filming because it’s all subjective and not every shoot is the same.

About Volleyball Locations

Volleyball is a sport that can be played in a wide variety of venues. Depending on the size of the event and its purpose, these venues can range from small, intimate spaces to large arenas suitable for hosting major tournaments.

Outdoor courts are great for outdoor tournaments and special events since they provide plenty of space and natural light. They often come with additional features like benches and bleachers that spectators can use and provide a great atmosphere for an event. This type of venue offers plenty of space to accommodate larger groups or multiple courts, which is beneficial when hosting tournaments or other large-scale volleyball events.

Indoor sports facilities offer a more controlled environment with features like climate control and security systems, allowing more flexibility in scheduling and ensuring that all necessary materials are already provided at the venue. They also offer amenities such as dressing rooms, food concessions, and spectator seating to ensure guests have everything they need during the event. Moreover, these spaces can be decorated with balloons or banners depending on the event’s theme, making them an ideal choice for themed events or tournaments.

The Best Events for Volleyball Locations

  • Recreational Volleyball Games
Casual volleyball games are great for locations that have both indoor and outdoor courts. They can bring people together in an interactive way, whether it's friends getting together or company staff parties. It's an ideal activity for all ages and promotes healthy competition, enhancing teamwork skills. It's also a great way to facilitate communication between people who may not usually interact with each other in everyday life.
  • Company Volleyball Tournament
Team building exercises don’t always have to be boring. Why not try out a company volleyball tournament? Companies can organize competitive games and activities to encourage collaboration among members of different departments or positions within their organization. It will bring employees together in an exciting environment and provide them with an opportunity to demonstrate their athletic skills and promote team spirit within the company.
  • Professional Volleyball Matches
Professional volleyball matches are perfect for large court spaces that accommodate multiple matches simultaneously. Spectators will get to observe professional players compete against each other while engaging in fast-paced and thrilling games that require maximum effort from both teams. The energy and excitement of these events make them highly entertaining and educational, helping budding players learn more about the sport by observing experienced athletes play it at its highest level.
  • Fundraising Volleyball Marathon
Fundraising marathons are becoming increasingly popular among organizations that want to raise money for charitable causes while bringing people together through sports. A volleyball marathon is an excellent option since it encourages physical activity while providing an opportunity to socialize with friends and family members participating in the event. Volunteers can help organize the event at any suitable location equipped with multiple courts so that several matches can go on simultaneously while others are resting between games.

What to Look for in Volleyball Locations

  • Space
It’s important to check whether the venue provides enough space for everyone to move around freely while playing or watching. Most volleyball courts require an area of approximately 60 feet by 30 feet, with at least two additional feet at each end. The total space required depends on how many courts will be set up and how much room spectators need.
  • Playing surface
Depending on the type of event, you may need a specific kind of playing surface, such as sand or grass. Grass is generally more comfortable for players but can be difficult to maintain, and sand can provide better traction in wet weather. Additionally, some events may require an indoor court with a hard surface, such as concrete or tile.
  • Lighting
Most volleyball tournaments occur outdoors during daylight hours, but some events may require lighting for evening play or indoor venues. Check to see if the venue provides sufficient lighting for your needs and meets any relevant safety requirements set by tournament organizers or local authorities.
  • Amenities
Some locations may offer various amenities such as restrooms, seating areas, and concessions stands which can significantly enhance the overall experience of any event. Ensure all necessary amenities are available or can easily be added before hosting your event at the chosen location.

How to Make Volleyball Events Better

  • Prepare the Playing Area
It’s vital to properly mark off the playing area and designate two sides of the court. This can be done by using string or rope to mark out the lines of play and using tape or cones to indicate boundaries on each side. Check that the playing area is cleared of any furniture or debris that may lead to accidents during the game.
  • Have Adequate Equipment
Be sure to have all necessary equipment (including nets, poles, and balls) available at your event. For added convenience and safety, invest in high-quality equipment from a certified retailer and provide extra sets just in case an item gets damaged while in use.
  • Invest in Protective Gear
Safety should always be a top priority when hosting a volleyball event. Ensure all players wear appropriate protective gear, such as knee pads and wrist guards, to help prevent injuries caused by falls or contact with other players’ body parts during wild plays.
  • Hire Professional Referees
Professional referees are essential for any serious volleyball competition to oversee gameplay and settle disputes between teams or players during games. Depending on the scale of your event, you may need several referees to call fair plays and keep track of scores accurately and efficiently throughout the game.
  • Encourage Social Interaction
Encouraging social interaction is an important part of any successful volleyball tournament. Provide plenty of opportunities for participants to mingle with one another after games have ended with designated refreshment areas and activities such as music performances or art sales hosted by local creatives.
