PRICE IS NEGOTIABLE!!
Our home is located 4 blocks from the metro on a small cul-de-sac (there are very few of these in DC) in historic Cleveland Park. The front of our house is a 1928 Tudor while the rear addition was constructed in 1970 in a mid-century modern style.
Our home is located near embassy row, the national cathedral, and is a stones throw away from the VP’s residence. The location, size, and style make it a perfect diplomat’s residence. It photographs very well.
We have almost a 1/4 of an acre of land set on a hillside overlooking DC.. The natural wooded canopy contains several hundred year old + trees. The entryway is lovely with lots of ferns and plants indigenous to DC. It has beautiful curb appeal.
As you walk from the front to the back, there is a lovely zen garden on the left and it all opens to a beautiful stone area fenced in with Ipe, a Brazilian rain forest hard wood. We have a large fire pit on the back patio and entertain there often.
This patio leads up to the a large deck, which is off of our kitchen. The kitchen is large and we have a dining table in the space that holds 8 guests. In addition, we have a fireplace in our kitchen.
The upper deck has a table that seats up to 8 guests, has a grill and more steps that lead down to 2 garages that were once stables. You can see their age but they were converted into garages. We have a large space back there - perfect for a trailer.
The upper deck curves around to the shed, which is constructed from burnt Japanese cedar as well as a fence that holds firewood our compost and other items.
We have city bees that are located on top of one of the garages.
We are one block away from a rock creek park entrance, which is one of the reasons we purchased our home. The property resembles rock creek park in that it is very natural and beautiful.
