In 2007, Chereen Fisher sold her catering company after a decade of delighting guests and event planners around the Austin area. She took her passion for hospitality and began sharing it with travelers visiting the Capitol City, hosting them in her first short-term rental property in Tarrytown. Like a good game of Monopoly, Chereen began adding properties to her portfolio, calling it Top Trip Rentals, and expanding her ability to delight even more guests around Austin.
After 13 years, thousands of bookings, countless events, and a staff of 15 people, Chereen was ready to grow even further. But Covid-19 was going to make that a challenge. In the Spring of 2020, after devastating headlines and industry projections, the team had some hard decisions to make about the future. One night, Chereen came across a quote from Miles Davis, "It's not about standing still and becoming safe. If anybody wants to keep creating, they have to be about change." And the rest is history.
