I am a student filmmaker at the New York Film Academy in Burbank shooting my thesis film. My little sister has Down Syndrome and my mom is a special education teacher so I am very familiar with the struggles that families with kids on the spectrum face. I want to be able to showcase the sacrifice so many people around them make in order for these amazing kids to be given a chance at a normal life no matter the cost.
