House maintains virtually all original features, such as period tin ceilings and wood beams, crystal and colored glass chandeliers, stained glass windows, Persian rugs and hardwood floors, Moravian tile fireplace depicting biblical scenes, French doors that span length of porch, and closets with "obscure" glass panes. Among furniture is varnished mahogany dining room table with growth rings that accommodates up to 16 with all leaves, Queen Anne chairs, and sixteenth century carved-oak rustic Spanish monastery table. Original cedar closet and crawl space for storage on third floor under eaves. In basement are industrial-style boiler room with period instruments, laundry room with three porcelain wash tubs, and wood wine cellar. House evokes era of "The Great Gatsby." Modern features include "endless pool" off of breakfast nook, and steam/sauna and whirlpool bath in master bath. View of two bridges, three boroughs — Bronx, Queens, and a few Manhattan skyscrapers — and Long Island. House offers various styles of rooms, views, angles, and types of shots.
