Welcome to my extraordinary home! As an architect designer, and concrete fabricator, I've poured my heart and soul into creating a truly remarkable living space. Situated in the charming neighborhood of Venice, this house started its journey as an old bungalow. Over time, I transformed it into a dwelling that harmonizes with its environment and embraces the surrounding beauty. Throughout the design process, I carefully considered the unique characteristics of the property. Some areas presented challenges, such as noise concerns, while others provided exciting opportunities for architectural exploration. After meticulous planning and obtaining the necessary permits, I embarked on the journey of demolishing the old structure and bringing my vision to life with a brand-new construction. Concrete became my muse and medium of choice. Wherever possible, I incorporated this versatile material into the design. The main floor boasts a stunning slab-on-grade concrete foundation, providing a solid and resilient base. I meticulously fabricated a breathtaking 13-foot-long concrete countertop, which serves as a centerpiece in the kitchen. The bathrooms feature exquisite concrete sinks, complemented by carefully crafted concrete tiles. The fireplace and its surrounding area proudly showcase the elegance of concrete, creating a striking focal point. Additionally, I even transformed the handles of the fridge and freezer doors into functional works of concrete art. This remarkable project has garnered significant recognition in the architectural world, winning prestigious design competitions such as the Muse Design Award, Novum, and IDA.
