A stunning 14th century monastery cloister which was later made into a garden gallery by the Duke of Norfolk. A stone flag floor and original features include an original doorway leading to one of the Carthusian monk’s cells. Later in the 18th century the ‘offside’ rule in football can claim its origins in this room, as the boys of Charterhouse School were the first to implement it in this space. With its serene atmosphere the cloister is ideal for corporate events, dinners and wine tastings. Capacity: 180 for reception or 120 for seated dinner – Daytime (9am – 5pm) £2360.00 – Evening (5pm – 10pm) £3550.00 Evening rate includes the use of Old Library Guide to venue hire rates: – Rates are exclusive of VAT. – Catering and any extra equipment charged in addition. – Depending on the type of event, some spaces might require more time for setup and a breakdown - extra charge may apply. – Rates are based on individual room hire and non-exclusive use of the Charterhouse. These can be revisedon case by case basis considering multiple venue hire. Please note that the published rate and minimum # of hours to book are flexible and it depends on the type of event, days of the week, timings & number of guests.
