Our Estate covers 52 acres of rolling hills and natural woodlands with winding trails. This Dutch-influenced hideaway is a short drive from the Triangle or Triad area, but feels like you are a million miles away. It's a place where you can still see the Milkyway at night and and the air is filled with the soothing sounds of nature.
Het Landhuis has lighted waterside and poolside terraces overlooking a cascading fountain, a 100' wrought iron bridge stretches from small island to small island, lush fields surrounded by rustic barns and hand-hewn log buildings, a grove arbor nestled amongst the trees, or experience the rococo elegance, both simple and rich, inside the lavishly renovated Het Landhuis Barn.
There is also a commercial-style kitchen in the barn, 2 guest houses, a small kitchen off the terraces, a grand scuppernong grapevine (the oldest grapevine in Chatham County), and the lovely 2 story Eye House which is the main house on the estate.
Het Landhuis is a magical place with little details everyplace from quaint wrought iron window boxes to massive Gaothic wooden and iron gates.
