5 Stars for the base price and the space itself, just a few caveats you should know going in. - The stage is still remote managed. I thought this was just for the pandemic, but it seems I was mistaken. This isn't a terrible issue as they walk you through the opening and closing procedure over the phone and they keep an eye on things with security cameras everywhere. - Because the stage is remote managed, you can only use gear that you've booked ahead of time. The gear is also shared between the two stages, so if you don't reserve something first, it may not be available. - Becvause you have to reserve everything ahead of time, you have to over-reserve because you may not be sure if you'll need a particular item. Thus, you waste some money trying to play it safe so you aren't in trouble on the shoot day. I think there was about $500 worth of stuff we didn't end up needing, but had to pay for just in case. This is different from every other stage I've ever filmed in where you can rent things as needed on the day if you realize you need something. - For the stage price, you can't really complain, but there were a couple of gouges in the white cyc and though we paid to have it painted pristine, it probably needed a patch and another coat of paint or two to reach pristine status. This forced us to shoot around the gouges since we had very little time for Post on this one so fixing additonal things wasn't an option. - In the end, it does start to feel like you're being nickeled and dimed a bit as you pay for things you may not need, are charged a hefty overtime rate ($175/hour for the stage we were in) if you go over your reserved time (whereas most stages only increase the rate if you go over 10 or 12 hours depending on their policy), and pay for the space lights individually (which most stages include when they advertise as being pre-lit). - Parking is okay as you get half of the small lot up front and there's some street parking. That said, we were a small crew and the only shoot there, but the nearby street parking was nearly all taken by the time we started. Plan accordingly. Overall, we'd film here again if a project's budget requires it. As long as you go in knowing all of the above, you can figure out how to best make it work for you.
