About the Space

Our space is a hub for visual arts in downtown Raleigh, NC. Artspace has four spaces available for rent. The entire space building is available for events of up to 500 people at which guests will be on two separate floors. Please note all spaces except the Learning Studio frequently have artwork displayed and it is Artspace's policy not to remove artwork for rentals. The pricing listed on Giggster is estimated to assume a certain group size would use a certain space. However, our pricing is really determined by the space used. If your small group is using Gallery 1, we will need to charge you the same rate as a large group. We price by full-day (up to 12 hours) or half-day (6 hours). Full day, non-profit, and multi-day discounts are available. Contact us to learn more about our pricing. Large Group - Gallery 1 is our largest space, and includes the Lobby and Upfront Gallery. This space is located on the 1st floor, accommodates up to 200 people standing or 100 seated, and is perfect for fundraisers, networking events, cocktail parties, receptions, and micro weddings. The unique venue has a vaulted ceiling and is full of professional artwork, typically from North Carolina artists. Medium Group - Learning Studio is located on the 1st floor and is perfect for meetings, strategic planning sessions, a break-out room, classes, or for a caterer prep room. The room is 40’ x 25’ and has a sink, large work tables on wheels and a projector. This room accommodates up to 50 people. Large Group - Gallery 2 is located on the 2nd floor and is accessible by elevator and stairs. The room is approximately 37’ x 33’ and has a separate preparation area with a refrigerator and sink. At most times of the year, an art exhibition will be on display on the walls of Gallery 2. Gallery 2 accommodates approximately 150 standing (75 seated at tables). Our wide corridor outside Gallery 2 may also be used with prior approval. Small Group - The People's Studio is located on the 2nd floor and is accessible by elevator and stairs. The space can accommodate up to 50 people (30 seated auditorium-style). This bright, open room includes large windows and a sink, perfect for networking socials, classes and workshops, small presentations, as a break-out room, or added on as an extra prep space for Gallery 2 events. The People's Studio walls can also be rented out for exhibits from outside groups.
