Our recently renovated 1914 era coffee roasting facility is now a unique, 3200 sq. ft. old school-style NYC photo studio. Designed with the intent of providing nice amenities inside a gritty unfinished Brooklyn loft, our space makes the perfect location for high-end productions and events that want a down to Earth feel. Studio 1, our main shoot space, hosts huge steel casement windows with opaque wire safety glass, rustic plank wood floors, rough brick and distressed plaster walls. Visitors often remark that it reminds them of old SoHo or Williamsburg before both areas became overly gentrified. Studio Amenties: * Elevator that loads into studio directly from loading dock * Brand new professional kitchen with electric range * Studio controlled spiral duct heat/ac * 5G high speed internet * Bose sound system * Projector, PA system* Photo/Film Specific Amenities: * Loads of new Profoto lighting and grip* * Spacious double-seat makeup mirror * 3 phase / 200amp power * Tables, chairs and other productions needs* * Separate coffee pantry for craft services Need more space? Getting to us Located in the up and coming Sunset Park / Industry City area of Brooklyn, we’re five blocks from the 36t Street stop in the D and N/R trains. That's 4 or 5 stops from West 4th Street or Union Square. There’s also ample local parking if you want to drive. *Some items like equipment, PA, chairs, etc may require additional fees. ------------------------------------ STUDIO RULES ------------------------------------ We are open to all kinds of productions, but prioritize bookings based on what we feel is best for the space. Please include a detailed description of your shoot in your inquiry. PRICING & OVERTIME - Rates listed here are for space rental only between the hours of 8:00am and 8:00pm. Hours outside of that are billed at 1.5x standard rate on weekdays and 2x standard on weekends - Your booking ends when everyone from your production has vacated the building. This includes the loading dock. - Overtime is billed in 15 minute increments. For example, if you stay 17 mins over, you will be charged for 30 minutes of overtime - Additional fees required for lighting, grip, tables, chairs, A/V equipment, etc. EQUIPMENT - Personal equipment is allowed - We have a wide selection of in-house EQ and can source pretty much anything from local 3rd party rental houses at a discount - Productions using continuous lighting packages will be charged a $20/hour electrical surcharge fee - All productions using our equipment must provide a COI and place a credit card on file as security CLEANING & LEAVING THE STUDIO Guests are responsible for returning the studio the same state in which they found it upon arrival - All garbage must be contained in a bag. - All cardboard boxes must be flattened and stacked - There is a $200 fee for excessive garbage or for garbage that is improperly disposed of - All props and furniture must be returned to the location in which it was found - There is a $200 resetting fee if studio staff needs to do more than simple adjusting of props
