Sequestered within a magical garden in Glassell Park, this 1911 Craftsman envelops you in natural beauty and a rich sense of history. The meticulously maintained home presents a trove of vintage details including gorgeous woodwork beams, molding, flooring, windows, wainscoting, a fantastic built-in dining console and brick hearth. Over a hundred years of owners have preserved this home's character, and we feel lucky to call it ours.
We have lots of natural light, California native landscaping with a bird fountain, French doors, clawfoot bathtub, and an expansive back deck with view of the Griffith Observatory. This house has an old soul and can play for both 1911 or 2023 equally as well.
The house has just under 1500 square feet of living space on a lot of 7,300 sq feet. Our living room, dining room, office, kitchen, bedroom, 2 bathrooms, deck, front & back yards, and garage are all available for use.
We have a record player with Sonos sound system, Noguchi pendant, and black and white veined marble dining table with Cesca chairs. Central heat & air and all appliances can be turned off for sound. Please note that the fireplace is decorative only and not functional at this time. (We hope to have it repaired soon!)
In the morning, sunlight filters into the front rooms, diffused by our landscaping. The back (kitchen, office, backyard & deck) is flooded with sunlight in the afternoons and evenings. We have blackout curtains in our office to control the light. The back deck faces west for an epic sunset view.
Need the perfect California picture car? We own a 2007 Lexus SC430 Pebble Beach Edition in Pearl White with red leather interior that can be rented for an additional cost.
Load in and out is a breeze here: we have a flat street in front of our home and our front door is 4 feet wide! At the back of our property, we have a private, gated driveway and two car garage that could be used as a staging area. The garage has lights & power and is a good place to set up crafty or a charging station.
