STORY:
In our search for the perfect lake cabin we prioritized setting and potential. We wanted a setting that oozed with all the richness of the Cascade Mountains, and we knew that if the building had a story to tell, we could unearth it. When we bought it, this gem in the rough was showing it’s age. Dingy and dirty was the impression it gave and no one had every given it the style it deserved.
We spent eight months renovating the whole house and carefully curating the furniture and accessories that it was calling out for. Our vision was to make the base layer of the cabin into a fresh and clean foundation with new or refinished flooring, paint, new cabinetry, countertops, and lighting. On top of that solid clean layer of new finishes we added the story that we heard the cabin telling. A story of things collected over time from the 1950’s through today. A collection of influence from independent artists, local makers, and antiques sourced from the community.
AMENITIES:
The driveway in front of the cabin can accommodate four cars and the dirt road leading down to the cabin can fit 4-6 more during the non-snow time of the year.
The property is 2.5 acres and is heavily wooded providing a rich backdrop. Shots without any neighboring houses are plentiful.
The cabin is bigger than it first appears; it has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a laundry room, kitchen, and the dining and living room easily seat eight. The eight-foot-long vintage dining table with antler chandelier is a crowd pleaser.
Every part of the house is newly remodeled providing a very clean backdrop.
The white ceiling and floor are help to reflect light and make what could typically be a dark space feel light and spacious. Many of the lights in the cabin are dimmable providing flexibility.
A brand-new kitchen and dedicated coffee bar will provide everything you need whether it's instant hot water for your tea, or top quality equipment to prepare a farm to table feast.
Bedrooms include king and queen sized Purple brand mattresses wrapped in 100% linen sheets, custom designed wallpaper, designer lighting, ample storage, 40" televisions.
A log wall bathroom with a claw foot tub and wrap around curtain gives you that cabin feel, but the new on-demand hot water heater won't! You will also find plenty of storage for toiletries, 10x mirror, and soft fluffy spa towels.
A fully equipped dedicated office with two adjustable height desks, 34" curved monitors, rolling chairs, and high speed fiber wifi.
