Writer, TEDx speaker, and author of the coming-of-age novel The Willow Tree, as well as the narrative non-fiction The Millennial Mentality: More than Memes, Cats & Mishaps, Elan is a fearless storyteller, who continues to explore tough topics of social justice, mental health, and racial identity. She loves to do this in any medium whether it’s with a novel for adults or through a story for younger audiences, her most recent being a children’s book titled, I Love My Hair.
Outside of writing books, she also dedicates time to learning the craft of screenwriting and recently completed UCLA's T.V. Writing certificate program.
As an avid writer and supporter of empowering multiculturalism and diversity, Elan loves to use her creativity, voice, and the power of the written word to inspire change and a hope for a better future every chance she gets.
