Photography began as a hobby.
Impressed by the quality of images captured by friends using their dslr cameras while on various adventures around the world, my curiosity eventually led me to purchase my first dslr. So began the journey into the art and science of light and imagery.
During the first few years all I wanted to shoot were sunsets. Living in such a beautiful place made it easy to fill my memory cards and hard drives with the incredible scenery so readily available.
Gradually, an interest in photographing people began to take root. A few portraits and special events later and I was hooked. Being able to connect with individuals while capturing the infinite subtleties of the human condition feels like a gift.
