The International Museum of Surgical Science is a distinct venue located downtown Chicago on the lakefront of Lake Michigan. The residence was built in 1917 for Eleanor Robinson Countiss. The International College of Surgeons purchased the building to open a Hall of Fame to surgery in 1954.
