After nearly 20 years working with customers in both B2C and B2B relationships to achieve success in sales and growth, Monique Cherrie decided to make a change and launch her own business. After a trip abroad with her family she became intrigued with the notion of pop up shops and the way they enable any size business to instantly achieve exposure, experiment with new branding, or just engage directly with their existing customers.
Since the beginning of 2016 she has been the driving force behind MakeshiftSpaces. With her experience in event management she has hosted art galleries, pop up shops and markets, as well as hosting events for international tourism, motivational speakers, and fashion designers.
In 2019, Monique opened her newest adventure, a coworking space in Strathcona. "I think that coworking is an interesting business. There are many spaces available in today's market, and we all have a little something different to offer.

I booked this space for my husband's surprise 40th and what a success it was! The space was perfect for hosting the 70 people who attended and Monique was great to work with. I would highly recommend.

Monique is a lovely host who is easy to work with. She was easy to reach with a phone call and was able to answer all questions and accommodate all needs accordingly. The space is bright, spacious and easy to transform into anything.
