About the Space
A speakeasy-style artist parlour tucked away in Williamsburg. This boutique space features carefully chosen vintage decor and curious details, hinting of veiled secrets, unsolved mysteries and forbidden romance. Our studio is fully decorated, photo ready, and conveniently located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This unique space is suitable for photo and video shoots with crews up to 15 and events up to 30. The studio features one large, completely private room which is fully furnished, lit, and decorated. Available 7-days a week | 8am-9pm (bookings outside these hours may be subject to higher rates) SPACE FEATURES - 750 ft² studio space - 26' x 28' rough dimensions - Fully Furnished and decorated - Feature lighting - WiFi - Work table and chairs - Fridge - Restroom CONVENIENCE Conveniently located off the Bedford L station in Williamsburg SCHEDULING Our minimum booking is 3hrs or $240 (+ cleaning + processing fee). Shorter bookings almost always end up using additional time which incurs overtime fees. Please be sure your booking request includes enough time to load in, set up, wrap, and load out. DAYLIGHT This studio has NO windows! ...But the photo shows a large windowed balcony?! It's a light box built into the wall for photo shoots. It looks and feels like sunlight streaming through the doors when it's on, but it's an illusion. Regardless of the actual time of day, the light in the room is controllable, from bright daylight to a subdued evening glow. RECORDING SOUND? It's a new space, and so far has been quiet enough for recording clean audio. That said, we are not a sound stage and can't guarantee that there won't be occasional sounds from the hallway, or a random car horn. GIANT FABRIC HEART Due to its fragile nature, this prop may only be handled for an additional fee of $35/day. STUDIO EQUIPMENT Don't lug your C-Stands around! We have c-stands and various other grip equipment available for your convenience. Grip: 5- Adult C-stands 1- Baby C-stand 5- Sand Bags 4- Full Apple Boxes 10- Spring clamps Electric: 6- extension cords 100amps- 5x20a circuits are available for lights and equipment Audio: 2- Studio speakers for playback (bluetooth & aux) -- Additional Rental Equipment ($)-- Please confirm the availability of Additional Rental Equipment in advance of your booking. **Due to its fragile nature, the Giant Fabric Heart will only be available if rented at $35/day.* Lighting: 1- Dynalite 3 head Strobe kit - $45/day 3- Gemini 1x1 Litepanel (equivalent to the Arri s30 Skypanel)- $40/day each ABOUT THE STUDIO STAFF Burke H. - Owner/Designer of the studio. We shot a single guitarist with four different looks around this space and it was perfect for our needs. Our production staff was 5, larger than that might’ve started to get crowded (behind the camera). The lighting was very well organized and Ellis (on-site staff) was very helpful. Entering and exiting is pretty easy, though it is a flight of steps down to the space -- keep it in mind if you’re hauling gear. The cosmic bathroom was sketchy, and just as described and added to the vibe in some sick way. All in all, a very cool space.
